Bomoseen, Vermont
I watched the Michigan game after the Hawks game. Nazar was.. really not noticeable. He did score but it was waived off. Other than that he was a non-factor. Still skating well and moving well just sloppy. Forcing plays a ton.

There's going to be some misses. That's why it's important to continue stockpiling 1st and 2nd round picks. The only issue is that idk if they have anything left to trade.

In a shocker...Denver either tied or lost to Augustin.. The score shows as a 5-5toe after OT ...butvthere was an actual shootout...Everyone missed except 1 guy from Augustin..

So you would think they woukd say Augustin won-5 but maybe it only counts as a 5-5 tie forctgecstandibgs ...maybe the shootout resuktvonly is forctge enjoyment of the fans but it does not
Change tge "official" result which is a 5-5 tie?

Eitger way ...thus is a shocker...mighty ranked Denver cannot beat 1st year NCAA Div1 newbie Augustin University ...which I think most hockey fans eitger never heard of before nor no its location(Sioux Falls S Dakota( ...it is tge 2stcever University hockey team pkaying Div.1 ever coning from South Dakota.

Debverzatx1 point had a 3-0 lead but this upstart University came back and ultimately even won thecshhot-out.

.use be embarrassing for Denver...

In the game our boy Aidan Thompson had 4 shots on goal but no points in the official game ..He also missed on hus shoot-out try.

Jiri Felcman finally played his first SL game with the Bellinzona Rockets on Tuesday. Played 17mins, including PP, won 5 of 8 faceoffs and had a primary assist in a 3-1 away win against Thurgau.

Sadly, he didn't play again for Bellinzona on Friday. I don't know why he doesn't play there more often. It's the Tigers farm after all and they have an open import slot. Not sure what's the hold up. Playing with the U20 elites is fine pre draft but post draft I think drafted players, let alone 3rd round picks, should move on. Swiss junior leagues are just not that good.

Felcman is gonna be with the Czech U20 squad at a 5 nation tournament in Chomutov.

Not sure if I like it. I guess it's better than playing U20 elites in Switzerland but playing pro hockey in the SL would be much more helpful. Him becoming a regular with Bellinzona has to be the goal this season. Difficult to achieve if he's not around though.

Late night rant ahead. Hate to say it, but I'm not sold on KD's drafting (especially in the second). No ones drafted after the first projects as having top6F or top 4 D upside as of this point and he seems to target lower upside/higher floor and trying to fill specific roles down the line.

Ludwinski was drafted for speed and motor alone, leaving guys like Seamus Casey and Poitras on the board. Ryan Greene looks solid, could be a 3C down the road but man Hutson has top pairing potential.

Goaltenders are voodoo enough to begin with, plus the last 2 cup winners were Kuemper and freaking Adin Hill. Dont use a high second on one unless there is high end pedigree. Like aside from Vasy no cup winning goaltenders since 2015 were picked higher than the third round. Poor asset management, imo.

Regardless, leaving Cristall on the board here is just so strange, especially drafting an even smaller russian winger right afterwards. Cristall is absolutely shredding the WHL right now and honestly looks like he could be last years Alex Debrincat. Misiak is solid but again, projects as more of a 3C than a top 6 forward.

I just feel like so many teams have mid-late round picks who are putting up big numbers in juniors with exciting upside while Davidson has seemed to err on the side of caution and picking safer player to fill specific roles, and I honestly don't like it.

The same Hutson I ranked 11th overall?

They should just bring me along for the draft. Every pick would be generational.

Seems rather premature, built around the small number of prospects across the board that are trending well. Like yeah, obviously we wish we took Poitras, so does everyone.

There's only a few play-driving 1st line type of star forwards that come out of the 2nd round traditionally. If you land an Ivan Barbashev type of strong complementary player that's a huge win. Those guys are often the best case scenario across an entire round. And the odds of getting any sort of best case scenario are low when 32 teams are getting picks.
