The Rangers are boring and don't score because THEY LACK TALENT.

They have Rick Nash, Ryan Callhan, and Derek Stefan and that's all.
Callahan is more of a grinder.
Brad Richards is washed up. Hagelin has never scored 20 goals.

WHERE is the offensive talent?
Keep in mind we have no real offensive defenseman, Del Zotto is a 40 point assist man.

So please tell me how Torts holds the Rangers offense and team back?

No, it's systemic. From the collapsing defense to the boards only neutral zone play, and the behind the net cycling BS in the offensive zone.

I think the perceived amount of talent on this team by the fan base is much much greater than the actual talent.

1) How is it the system when the talent has never been there?
2) How are you, how is he, supposed to win when you have minimal offense? Should he coach run and gun with this group?
 
The good news is Torts saw the scoring problem and moved Boyle up to the 2nd line for overtime.

Agreed. And then these same people complain about how much Richards suck, Boyle, Girardi, Del Zotto etc., so at some level they must realize the talent on this team is lacking.
 
I still can't understand leaving McD on the ice after already being on for over 2 min. Especially since he took Girardi off.

Girardi on the PP is not the issue.. these idiots on the ice dont ****en shooooooooottttttttt ever!!! this team needs to realize in general if you just shoot pucks at the net, eventually they go in (garbage goals are good too).. we have plenty of skill and offense we just dont generate enough quality shots.. and when we do its either aiming top titty for the show case goals or the plexy behind the net.. enough is enough... these guys need to shooooooooot on the PP stop the passing and get the **** in front of the net!!!!1..we're not playing bad.. stop with saying torts doesnt know how to coach.. and the inevitable stop brian boyle convo.. guy works hard and isnt an issue or liability out there..

This is a team has struggled all season yet is comprised of names like:

Nash!
Lundqvist!
McDonough
Del Zotto
Richards
Callahan

...and the following guys for a chunk of the year:

Zuccarello
Staal!
Gaborik!

That is a lot of top level talent, as well as some elite talent.

Agreed. This isn't 08-09 where Gomez, Zherdev, and Drury where the offensive leaders of this team. :help: You can throw Girardi and Stepan in there as well. We also have Clowe and Brassard as solid 2nd liners. Those two players would have been 'core' offensive players on that 08-09 team.
