His verbiage is weird to me and announcing it beforehand makes me think it isn't someone considered a big star.

God I need to see Swerve win this match and get some gold on his waist later on. Dude is so good. Hangman promo was also really great.

New Japan already knows he is gone and the choice is between AEW and WWE. If he goes with AEW they will be able to get him for dates as an attraction, if he goes with WWE no chance that happens. AEW signing him would be a best case scenario for NJPW. However you are almost surely correct that this won't be an Osprey signing for the first reason you mentioned.

Yeah I played a couple of the older games, what are they up to now about 20 sequels and spinoffs?
Not a great show going into a major PPV. Hangman v Swerve was a good segment and helped build for their match. Oc v Mox was ok I guess. Not much else to tall about. That main event was trash and all of the video game sponsored / themed stuff AEW has done has been miserable.
I HIGHLY recommend yakuza: like a dragon. They switched it up to a turn based RPG and it is fantastic. Its sequel is coming out in a couple months. Can't wait
