The Bunny is gone from AEW.

from Friday's pwinsider.com:

The Bunny has left AEW.

Sources tell PWInsider.com that the two sides mutually agreed to part ways. We have not heard any additional details at this time.

Bunny, formerly Allie in Impact Wrestling, had been with AEW since it March 2019. She was removed from the company's online roster today.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And despite some reports out there - The Butcher and The Blade are still on the AEW roster.

Read they just finished and are heading to TNA...

If it hasn't been mentioned, Stevie Richards was recently on Rene Dupree's podcast/channel/whatever, talking about when AEW had his video breaking down the Moxley/Fenix piledrivers taken down from YouTube.

Anyways, Stevie claims he was contacted by multiple agents in AEW who said they agreed with him and that they try to counsel the younger guys on working safer, but they don't listen.

And in 20 years those younger wrestlers will be telling that generation to work safer and on and on the cycle will go.

Not really. Some of the older guys are doing this dumb shit with the younger guys. We all thought Jericho was going to be the voice of reason because he had a reputation of staying out of the dumb shit WWE did and he's fallen into it in AEW. Matt Hardy is basically braindead at this point from doing dumb shit like having Sammy throw him off a scissor lift onto a concrete floor.

What's weird is, Danielson seemingly politely called Ospreay's Tiger Driver to Omega stupid and unnecessary, but keeps getting hurt himself because he wants to work stiff.

With the tag division in AEW getting a push right now it seems like a bad time to lose Butcher and the Blade. They're at worst really good hands in the ring, and at best legitimate heels that can help push your top tag team by putting on quality matches. Way better than the Iron Savages, Workhorsemen, and other lower card/enhancement talent guys.

Right but Danielson has gotten injured taking an elbow drop and a lariat moves that everyone would agree are "safe" moves....still got injured because it's wrestling and shit happens. My main point is that younger generations have been ignoring the old hands since the stone age to make their own mistakes. Eventually this younger generation that are supposedly ignoring the precious old hands will be the old hands getting ignored lol. Punk is really the perfect example of this really. Guy f***ing hated the old hands on his way up telling him what to do.

Jericho has never gotten hurt - ever. I kinda trust his judgement on this stuff.

Punk's issues weren't really the same as "He doesn't want to listen to old guys telling him to work safe", though. Punk's never really been a reckless worker (Maybe early in his ROH days) and the majority of his problems were just him being a general dick. The stories that come to mind were Owens talking about Punk shitting on him in his ROH days for wearing a T-shirt to wrestle, and Edge talking about Punk refusing to tag Jericho during a house show.

That one was essentially Punk being mad that Edge and Jericho were too busy watching the Gold Medal game to plan out the match, which Edge said they told Punk you'll be the vet at some point and you'll understand that we can sleepwalk through matches. He then noted that a few years later Punk was doing the same shit when the Blackhawks were in the Finals.

Point being, as a confrontational dick, Punk has definitely had his problems, but they haven't really been related to work safety. Biggest "Unsafe" thing he really did was give Cena a piledriver without the company's approval, and the actual move was executed perfectly. (If you haven't seen this, recommend looking it up. You can see the exact moment the Mike Chioda realizes Punk's going to piledrive Cena, and shits himself. It's hilarious.)

Technically he broke his arm practicing a moonsault early in his career, but yeah, nothing major during his TV career. My comment was more about dumb shit segments though. In WWE no matter how goofy the shit they'd do, he generally either stayed away from it or made it look credible. In AEW he's doing the goofy shit the younger guys are doing.

Still on the fence with whether to make the drive up to LA for Full Gear. There was a fire last night that forced the closure of a stretch of the 10 freeway, so LA traffic might be even worse than usual.

Yeah same. I'm not missing Bruins/Habs and if I can't watch a PPV live then I won't spend $50 on it.

Hopefully World's End is stacked up.

You would think that World's End would play up MJF's contract "Ending". (Whether it actually does or not) But who knows with the way Tony books.

I believe Dave/Bryan speculated that the numerous rivalries he's in all at once are leading to a multi-man match with the idea that they need to get the belt off him. (In storyline) Hard story to sell when MJF is a babyface and there's no on-screen heel authority figure.

I would go if you can. They usually deliver the goods when it matters

I've not watched AEW since early 2022. I'm a WCW fan that gave up on wrestling in 2001. They lost me for a list of reasons

- Too much flippy high risk matches that don't mean anything
- losing Cody, he was my favorite
- reliance on the audience being plugged into the IWC. I don't know anything about or care about New Japan
- lack of storytelling, I don't care about a match if there's no stakes or reason for it to happen
- the women's division not getting enough focus to develop strong characters
- general pandering to the type of viewer who reads the wrestling observer

I wish it wasn't the case. I was a weekly viewer from 2019-early 2022 but once I realized it was just background noise I quit caring.

They need to get their PPVs on a streaming service.

I will sit through a 6 month Big Show world title reign if it means getting a streaming service. I will watch a re-run of Scorpio Skye vs. Sammy Guevara for a streaming service. I will welcome back the creepers as apart of Dark Order for a streaming service. GIVE US A STREAMING SERVICE DAMMIT!

Yeah, I'm with ya. These are the main reasons for me finding it tough to fully get into AEW. I'm more of a casual fan and have no idea who the New Japan guys are nor what the dirt sheets are saying. I also have trouble with the fact that 1/3 of their roster has a belt. No point in having one.

Plus, I'll add that, like WCW and TNA, they're just getting older, plucking attitude era guys. I do like some of the talent their few homegrown wrestlers have, and there are some decent storylines, but overall, not enough to make it must-see.

Honestly saying it's a "pro" makes it sound like it's an older vet.

Mercedes has tons of detractors too so I'm not sure she fits the bill as being "respected" by the entire fanbase.

I seem to remember they can break that if they stop taking the paychecks or something...but yeah, it may be too early
