I mean he has openly wanted to bring Flair in for years now....while openly shitting on Hogan any chance he gets. I am just saying I think people buying dirt sheet rumours of Hogans signing are probably jumping the gun juuuust a little bit.

They would have signed Flair a long time ago if not for the Plane Ride of Hell DSOTR episode.
 
I think it's weird that Tony talked about his family hanging a Christmas tree in July. If my family did that, I'd be ashamed to ever say it. Christmas trees shouldn't stay up past the season.

Yeah he's odd, but he at least owns who he is...and seems to want fans to enjoy his product...

I'm just shitposting. I have nothing against the guy, but I just need to pester anyone who has or knows someone who has a Christmas tree up in the Summer.

I used to go to a Christmas in July party at my parents' best couple friends' place every year as a kid. Mom and Dad got to party with all their friends and I got to play Sega with older kids. Winning everywhere.

I was all for a short Paul Wight run when they brought him in...but watching him try to punch and not moving...no thanks...just use him as a commentator and backstage
 
I don't see the problem. Paul Wight isn't going over. End game is a big spot involving Hobbs showcasing his strength. Who else is capable of getting him that pop? Face Satnam Singh wouldn't make much sense at this point.

Flair is just going to be a manager anyways. It isn't like he is coming in taking someone elses spot. Get a pop every gets to woo and heads to the back.

Paul Wight looks like if someone hit him with a slap low kick his entire body would come crumbling down. He can barely walk.

The Bucks won the #1 contender's match at Wrestledream. I figured they'd face Ricky/Bill at Full Gear since it's in their home state, but they haven't built/referenced it at all.

I didn't watch Collision last night so let me know if that tune changed, but if it didn't, I find it strange.

Still no reference to it. The last thing AEW needs is another young bucks title run.

Also, someone needs to take Tony Khan to booking 101.

They spend weeks building up MJF/Switchlade. Then Garcia has his first singles match in 6 months, wins and says he’s calling his shot and getting a title shot vs MJF.

How f***ing stupid is that? There’s already a real ppv championship match pending, then they’re going to hold a number one contenders match. But this f***ing jobber gets a title match? Stuff like this takes me right out of it.

Jim Ross has announced that he is taking some time off for the next few weeks......but is not retiring from AEW just yet.

During a recent edition of his “Grilling JR” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer and AEW broadcaster Jim Ross revealed that he’s going to be taking some time off to heal. This will begin this week.

Additionally, Good Ol’ JR provided an update on his current AEW contract, and more.


On taking some time off to heal: “I’m gonna take some time off, starting this week. I’m not gonna be in [Oakland]. But my doctor believes that if I take a few weeks off, I’m not sure how many, we’ll see, it’s gotta heal, that being off an airplane for a few weeks will be good for my leg to heal, so what’s what I’m gonna do. I’m gonna take a few weeks off. I’m not gonna be on TV for a while until I can navigate the waters a little bit and get in that deep water. I love what I’m doing. We have a unique roster. There’s so many guys that we need to help as much as possible get over, but that goes for any wrestling TV show. That’s their objective.”

On how much time is left on his AEW contract: “I have a contract that’s in place, I tend to honor it. It’s still got a few months left, and Tony Khan has indicated to me, as early as this week, at least to my representative Barry Bloom, that he’d like for me to stay. I’m not looking to go anywhere. It’s just that I need to heal. That’s all. Simplistically as that. My leg needs to heal, and the good news is that the wound is getting much better, so I am healing. I just gotta get better. It’s not a matter of pain tolerance. The pain comes when I get to the city I’m flying to. Flying is the enemy right now. So if I can heal a little bit more, then flying becomes less of an issue. With this job, I can’t do it without flying. So flying is a necessary evil, if you want to use that term, and that’s kind of how I’m approaching it. So I have no plans on leaving AEW. I like working for Tony. Tony’s been good to me, he’s taken great care of me. We just have a very unique relationship. I’m not high maintenance, even with a bad leg and stuff. I don’t want to be high maintenance.”

Earlier this year, Jim Ross underwent radiation treatment for skin cancer.
