Dont see United Empire getting past Pac and them.

Lots of NJPW building up. I think/see Ospreay losing his title to Finlay which will start the Finlay vs Robinson feud while Ospreay Feuds with White.

Honestly dont know who I see winning Trios. Best friends would be cool. Trustbusters are lame. Bucks and Omega dont need the belts.

People jump the line all the time in AEW. They are supposed to matter but they generally don't.

Running an MJF angle is a thousand times better then giving the match for free with a draw finish or some other f*** finish

If you were as "horrible and overrated" as Mox you might be the one main eventing PPV's instead of posting laughably bad opinions on a message board.

Also need to note that the shit takes on Mox all started after the king of shit takes on modern pro wrestling made them and then certain people have been parroting them ever since.

They jump the line generally with a story behind it, but its always someone deliberately getting fed to the champion to pad their title reign. That’s not how they use MJF. Running an MJF angle to disrupt a title match when he’s not going to be in it at the PPV would also be way worse and extremely stupid, why would you build a match to a PPV that you’re not doing? Just wait for the PPV and do the angle.
 
Sounds like Punks shot on Hangman to start his promo last night was not in the plans at all and was fully a Punk decision when he went out there....which is weird.

id be pissed if i was tony khan then. no need to bury one of the best babyfaces on roster like that made hangman look like a total chicken. but not suprised punk going into buisness for himself like usual.

Just bringing the rematch stuff up and not having him come out was pretty stupid.

If that was the plan and THEN Punk decided to take shots to make it make a little bit of sense, I am fine with it.

If he improvised the whole thing, well... that's another story.

Yeah I mean according to Meltzer they had absolutely no plans for anything Hangman-Punk related and it caught everyone by surprise.
 
People are talking about Hangman after 6 weeks of ‘why isn’t Hangman doing anything?’ so I don’t know why there would be a problem.
 
TBH idk if Kenny is 100%. Yeah he probably wont never be. I read he wouldnt be ready till September. I think maybe they rushed him. When he was having knee issues I was cringing as someone who also has knee issues.

Interested where his story goes. Obviously hes a face now. Down the line do we see Cole and Redragon vs Omega and The Bucks?

Gonna sound weird but really loved their Kanyon darkside of the ring episode. Showed their true selves. They are also very entertaining.


Someone mentioned the show looked like it ran out of time. I think it did since Kenny addressed the crowd

Because they come across as phony most of the time and they are they antithesis of what many traditionalists want in wrestling.

To be honest, I think they are great marketers. They did disrupt the business and they did make a great place for themselves in it. That being said, as wrestling characters, they mostly just annoy me. Their promos are awful and their characters are just phony. In the ring, I usually enjoy they PPV matches. I think they go balls-to-the-walls too much in their Dynamite matches, but they are entertaining. Repetitive and nonsensical, but entertaining. And, I get it, that is their niche and what they are going for. They would not stand out if they wrestled like FTR because, well, they do not look the part.

When I push back is when people say they are the best. No, they are spot monkeys with a GREAT sense of marketing and a vision of where they can fit in the business. The narrative that they are the best is just a falsehood, IMO. If you want to tell me that they have been great contributors and disruptors, I agree. As wrestlers? Entertaining, but overrated by some.

And remember this was in a year where he missed a good chunk of time due to going to rehab and getting his life straightened out. Not too shabby for someone who is bad at promos.

"All he can do is bleed"? I'm some guy online so my opinion doesn't mean much, how about ask William Regal what he thinks (I could mention any non idiot in the industry as well)? Guess it's just an accident he keeps having great match after great match (he even just had one against a guy that lots of geniuses online said was a washed up has been bum who needs to retire and go away with his band forever).

Because there isn't any plan to do anything about it. He took a swipe at Page, who will continue to rot away whereever they stuck him.

If he comes out next week and blows the match up, different story, but if it was just a passing reference with Page never confronting him it was dumb

Well yeah just doing the PPV match would ne the smartest thing, but we clearly aren't doing that since it's scheduled for next week

Page lost the title and has done jack since. He had a match at forbidden door and that’s it.

Tony rather keep signing weirdos and giving TV time to wack asses like Trustbusters and Jersey Shore dude.

Anyone else not really like the Jungle Boy/Christian angle last night.
 
On the Punk thing: The problem with the shots at Paige is that they were clearly intended to bury the guy and wasted time meant to build up the match that was headlining a PPV. Him doing that was completely unprofessional but unfortunately he can pretty much do anything he wants and get away with it for obvious reasons.

My conspiracy theory: Punk did that in retaliation to the Young Bucks lobbying for the trios title instead of dropping the titles to FTR at the PPV. Punk is friends with FTR so he attacked someone in the Bucks' clan.

I doubt it is really the case, but that would make for fun shoot interviews in 10 years :laugh:
