I just wonder where this feud even goes from here. They have done what? Three feud ending stips now. How do you top that? And it's been booked backwards as Eddie won the 1st match and has lost ever since.

Why protect Jericho's stupid Painmaker gimmick? Sometimes it does feel like Tony plays favorites

Show just feels like it lacks star power right now. Not anyone's fault, they got dealt a really shit hand with all the injuries.

I still don't get why MJF is still off TV assuming everything is smoothed over.

I think the direction in the main event has kinda been universally crapped on.

Give Dalton Castle all the belts in both promotions

It really is amazing how over FTR is

Just going through some matches and the Young Bucks are truly one of the best. I can’t believe there are idiots out there who don’t recognize greatness.
Great in the ring but they suck otherwise. Terrible on the mic, awful look and gimmick, just dorky in general. Plus naming their finisher The Meltzer Driver is the most pathetic ass kissing thing ever done in this industry and of course ego maniac Dave gave it the best finisher award. That being said, I do really enjoy their matches.

I like the Bucks but they come across as thinking they're bigger stars than they actually are. But I also thought the same thing about AEW Cody and now I've totally bought into him as a top guy in WWE. I think the EVP titles cloud my judgment.

I actually enjoyed the Jericho Kingston match. But I do understand it was very overbooked. Turning Anna Jay when it doesn't end the
match totally minimizes the turn.

Dave didn't give them the award, they are decided by a vote of WON subscribers.

Well, bought tix to the Dynamite show here in Columbus next month. First ever pro wrestling show as well and I’ve been watching for decades lol.
It's a blast. Allow yourself some time to sit and enjoy the matches before the Dynamite event starts. They usually churn through 3-4 matches as the crowd is filing in for Dynamite.

Live pro wrestling with the right crowd is 2nd only to live hockey IMO

Probably would never happen but id like to see James Storm make some AEW appearances.

Briscoes being cancelled for that still is dumb. Didnt sammy say something and hes not cancelled. Isnt Darby accused of domestic?

Briscoes would make the tag division even better.

Ill say didnt want FTR to grow on me but they have.

Appreciate the heads up! Depending on how late I have to work that day I ought be at the arena by like 1830 or so. Just haven’t figured out exactly where my seat is going to be. All I know is that I’m in section F2 row A seat 16 lol.

Really? I always thought Dave picked the winners. Not that I pay any attention to them anyhow.

Nah the subscribers do, but generally the people willing to actually pay Dave money usually agree with his opinions on wrestling so it's generally in lock step.

Plenty of fans don't care for the Bucks style of matches but they aren't the ones who usually vote in WON awards.

I’m fine with The Bucks. A bit lame on the mic, but generally always enjoy them in the ring. And this is coming from someone who kind of hated them when AEW started, though to be fair I wasn’t too familiar with them.

Jonathan Gresham has apparently asked for his release from ROH / AEW.

from cagesideseats.com:

According to a report from Fightful Select, Jonathan Gresham asked to be released by AEW/Ring of Honor prior to the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view (PPV) just last night (Sat., July 23, 2022) in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Gresham, who lost the ROH world championship to Claudio Castagnoli in the PPV opener, was apparently upset over a “lack of communication” leading to the show. He also reportedly took issue with the amount of time they were given for their title match. It all combined to create a general feeling that he was being disrespected.

A meeting with Tony Khan apparently included Gresham cussing him out.

Gresham signed with AEW just months ago, having been the final world champion for ROH before the promotion was bought by Khan. If his wish is granted, Fightful says he’s will be done with pro wrestling for the time being, at least after he finishes up some other commitments.

As of now, there has been no comment from AEW or Khan on the matter.

I guess I can see why Gresham would be upset. He probably felt that he was carrying ROH, although that's got nothing to do with Kahn. The time slot issue is legitimate, but I thought that was a fine spot for the ROH title match since FTR v Briscoes was very clearly going to close the show.

There's no shame in losing to a returning Claudio Castagnoli in Boston on a stacked ppv card.
