HILTON HEAD ISLAND
Alexander Romanov plays as if he’s 6’5 240 pounds. Problem is he’s 6’1 215. Now smaller men ala Darius Kasparaitis played until they were 34 as bruising dman. I don’t know if Romanov will. Cost the Islanders a 2022 2st round pick but they also got a 4th rounder with Romanov. Have a gut feeling Roy is liking the emergence of Dennis Cholowski and Isaiah George is here to stay. I also believe he thinks Grant Hutton won’t clear waivers once Adam Pelech comes back from his injury and feels Mayfield-Hutton are serviceable 3rd pairing d-man. So we got

Pelech
Pulock
Dobson
George
Cholowski
Mayfield
Hutton
Romanov

Could the Islanders get a 1st round pick for Alexander Romanov

Edmonton will be first in the queue for Romanov, I assume...

Physical, mobile top4, one of the best hitters in the league. But yeah, I very doubt NYI will trade him.
