Does anybody know if the Leafs have released any renderings of what center ice will look like this coming season? It's the first season of the new logo, but also the centennial year. Any idea if they're going to go with the team logo or the anniversary logo?

They usually make it very known when they're painting the ice, and it should be happening very soon. As of yet, nothing.

EDIT - Actually, with the World Cup happening at the ACC, it likely wont be painted for the Leafs until October.

Yeah that's what I'm not sure about too, with the World Cup being hosted here.

I'd guess it's centennial themed. But I'm also sure the new logo will also be prominently displayed in whatever they do. I wouldn't be surprised if it's close to the logo they unveiled for the centennial earlier in the summer.

I hope they go back to dual logo design at center ice

this isn't the tornto male lefs

I like the two renderings above.

As for the Air Canada Centre ice itself.. It's average at best and some nights near the bottom of the league in quality.

So many concerts, basketball games and other events make it near impossible to keep the quality where it should be.

I don't like the Leafs facing the cameras. The bottom of each Leaf should face the dot, the top facing each team's net.

Its so much easier to view it as the center of Air Canada centre.

They switched it from the two Maple Leafs covering each side of the red line to the big Maple Leaf logo when Burke was here. He said a fan sent him a letter saying a big one had more truculence and was more of a force than two small logos. He agreed and then they switched it.
