Series Talk: AHL Pacific Division Semis: (6) SJ vs. (1) COL (COL wins 3-1, season over)

Frankly, any PP on this team without Poturalski and Bordeleau is gonna struggle. Adding Gushchin helps, but he and Cagnoni are really the only PP1 quality guys there.

The PP2 unit really shows how thin our forward group is right now. We've got two defensemen and Ostapchuk, who's been doing fine defensively but shown very little on offense. But who else can we really put there, with Duehr a presumed scratch? There's so few options I wondered to myself if Vanroboys would be an interesting roll of the dice.

Getting Carlsson back on that unit is at least a help, though.

Missing Poturalski and Bordeleau especially takes away from PP2. Like you said, if those two were in then they push Regenda and Bystedt to PP2, which would then look pretty respectable with Carlsson.

Scoring is an issue without Potsy, so Askarov is gonna have to keep being great for this team to stand a chance.

Hey, it's not a bad idea.

I'll probably be pretty quiet on here tonight. I haven't been to a playoff game since 2019 and I don't plan to be spending much of it struggling with this site on my phone's browser. Sounds like several of us on here are going. Hoping for a great atmosphere tonight.

I mean to give everyone an idea, the last time the Cuda hosted a playoff game, McCarthy was our team's captain. Alex True and Nick DeSimone scored the goals. Also on the roster: Gambrell, Suomela, Halbgewachs, Letunov, both Middletons. Oh, and Ryan Merkley and Ivan Chekhovich, both of whom joined the team in April following their seasons in junior.

I'll be there! Gonna be a great atmosphere.

Looks like the Eagles are a pretty deep team offensively, let's see how this goes.

I couldn't tell from the games against the Reign if the Cuda were playing a "patient road game" or if they were just dragging a bit given all the injuries. Hopefully with Goose and Carlsson back in they have some jump.
