With him being let go with the capitals he will be looking for a job and there's no question what he can do with the power play would he be a good addition to the kings coaching staff?
I would have mentioned RP somewhere in your OP, since you probably got the idea from his post. That would be the classy thing to do.
Was it a great PP or one that relied on one set play for a large chunk of their success? One that the Kings do not have the player to fill that role.
You on an iPad or iPhone Ron? That happens a lot to me.
Great minds think alike.
Can anyone, Oates included, the Kings powerplay or is it just jinxed?
It seemed like it was set plays, much like the way the NBA teams design plays. But you can't rely on a great pp to win games when you have a coach that is all offense and doesn't teach basic defense. You can go 3-3 on the pp, but still lose 4-3 because of poor defensive coverage, especially by the forwards.
What did he do during the 2012 SCF?
Seriously, I don't think much of this guy. After his act on the Jersey bench during the SCF with the Kings, then him calling out Ovi publicly, that just shows bad judgment. If he calls out Ovi privately, I think he retains his job.
But how would you know that he didn't call out Ovi privately, before going public?
I like Oates. The problem is the management/ownership, supporting their non-disciplined superstar over their coach.

Oates was a micromanager who thought he knew more than he did. No thanks.
