Hmm, who was that guy yesterday saying Fox is as good as McAvoy?

Picking the Midseason NHL Awards Using Analytics
@Machinehead
If he gets anything under 7 per (if he signs that long) he should fire his agent.
Even 7 would be a bargain
Over the past two seasons,
Fox 97 games
58pts
22PP pts
EV 1652 mins
PP 248 mins
SH 78 mins
Chabot 101 games
59pts
15PP pts
EV 2262 mins
PP 344 mins
SH 24 mins
No esta bueno para el cap space.
Yea...Fox is definitely an untouchable for us. I thought he would be good, but not this good. And the amazing thing is that he undoubtedly has more offensive upside. Wouldn’t surprise me if he puts up 70+ points at his peak, especially if he bulks up or improves his skating speed.3. One of the most interesting things about the top four defence pairs is that all four are tasked with playing tough minutes in a shutdown role. That they’re earning a 60 percent expected goals rate or higher is astonishing given the circumstances, and it’s especially impressive from the pair on the other New York club: Adam Fox and Ryan Lindgren.
Fox was an analytics darling in his rookie season, but there was some skepticism about how good he really was and whether he could keep it up in a bigger role. He’s taken on that challenge this season and is crushing it. No other defenceman in the league faces tougher forward competition than Fox this season and despite that, he still has a 57.6 percent expected goals rate that ranks as the best among Rangers defenders. That’s mostly by way of his defensive impact, but he’s also scoring at a 51-point pace.
Fox has been sensational, living up to last year’s hype. Among defensemen, he currently ranks third in GSVA.
16 Stats: East Division playoff race, love for the Islanders, elite Adam Fox, electric Kirill Kaprizov
Yea but that didn’t stop Matthews from getting more than Tavares (or Marner from getting about the same). Some teams have a player who sets the bar for what other players make. In Tampa for instance, Kucherov got 9.5 mil a year. He easily could have gotten more, but the FO can say look, you’re going to be the highest paid player on the team. Same with Point. Point could have gotten over 10 mil, but Kucherov’s play allowed the Tampa FO to basically say, “we’re not giving you near what Kucherov makes.” That’s where Toronto and the Rangers made a mistake. It’s even worse for us because the gap between the play of Matthews/Marner and Tavares is much smaller than the gap between Fox and Trouba. I think Fox is going to end up getting somewhere around 8x8, which even then sounds like a steal to me. I mean, he seems like the kind of player who is going to be effective for a very long time. I’m not sure if perceived longevity can possibly be something that Fox’s agent uses to demand a higher salary, but if I were him, I would use that.I'm sure Fox, or at least his agent, understands the nuances and how restricted years affect the salary calculation

Best solution I’ve found is this guy @HeresYourReplay on Twitter: https://twitter.com/heresyourreplay?s=21Someone needs to cut a reel of a few of the outlets and moves he made at the blue line during the first period today.
Tavares took a discount to sign with his favorite team
Shattenkirk is a good compFox wants to play in NY. We can pray for a discount.
He’s be a Norris front runner if he played on Toronto or Edmonton.
hell a strong enough finish here and he may even jump into the top 3.
