Abbotsford @ Laval Rocket: Saturday, January 4th, 7 PM.

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Game night for Laval, too. They haven't been playing all that well, but they're at home tonight against Abbotsford.

They start at 7 PM. Habs 8 PM (probably more 8:15), so should be able to watch both games.

Is Primeau going to start?

Line mixer. He made a mistake so that third line is actually Harvey-Pinard - Dauphin - Mesar.

Xhekaj is nursing minor injuries so he gets semi-healthy scratched.

I'm hoping to see some fireworks tonight I think the time off probably helped some banged up players.
I'm really hoping Vincent has come up with a solution to his PP woes.
We get so many opportunities and do nothing with them.
I haven't liked our top 6 in the last 5 games or so Davidson has gone stale and it shows up big time 5v5.
The Beck line needs more production and Mesar seems to be having a hard time finding his early season form.

I don't know why he is refuses to break up Roy-ABB, if you are going to put the lines to a blender, these 2 should be split up for a spell imo, they look lazy together at times and can be so frustrating to watch.
I agree I don't think he has hit on the right mix yet at least not recently.

Totally agreed even though I'm happy to see Beck on the 1st line.

I would try this top6:

Davidson-Beck-ABB
Roy-Dauphin-Mesar

Bottom 6:

Tuch-Condotta-RHP
Arseneau-Xhekaj-Simoneau

Mesar has been struggling since returning so they need to figure something out to get him going.

Xhekaj has a minor injury so we'll see how long he's out but I wouldn't mind seeing something like Roy Xhekaj Farrell get a few games as I would not have stapled Xhekaj to the 4th line all year despite how it's clear that he needs to work on that lower body as he's still a little too light at around 188 lbs.

I’d be excited if literally anyone in the lineup was playing well. No one is stepping up

I guess the Hof is sick so he probably won’t play

When is Vincent going to realize Beck needs to be on the halfwall and Roy needs to be the bumper?
Let's stick our best skater in the slot standing still it make NO SENSE whatsoever.
You need your mobility in space FFS. :ha:

end of rant

Primeau does not seem confident in the NHL. One bad goal and he seemed to fold.
So far so good in the AHL. Will he always be a tweener?
Laval powerplay having major problems lately, including tonight, so far.

I presume the 2 wastes Barre-Bulletless and Dolphin are on it.

Laval 0 for 6 on PP tonight. It has been their downfall lately.
1-1 with less than 3 minutes remaining.
