Now if Klimovich would cut out the self-defeating/team-defeating stuff. He was having a solid game and then just a bonehead penalty, by my count the fourth one this season.When you look at things Klimovich is 21 and Lekkermaki 20. Right now, Klimo looks far more dangerous at this level and way more involved in the play. Plays he is making is what you might expect from Lekkeramki
Not getting down on Lekkermaki and that year does make a difference but it's interesting how much Lekkermaki is seen as the much better prospect.
Other factor is the Klimo can take take care of himself physically.
Lekkerimaki is 18 months younger than Klimovich which makes a substantial difference at that age but he definitely needs to up his skating speed, strength and consistency of effort. He's made minimal impact in the last four or five games. At least he plays fairly sensibly even when he's not going well.
