Pettersson and some Henderson guy were assessed ten minute misconducts when things were getting stupid. Good for Pettersson, I guess, that he's willing to get involved, but it should be some vet's job at that point.

Henderson is a bad team with injuries and call up problems, so have to see this laughter with some perspective. Still obviously a very sound game by Abby

Kudry - lot to like - good puck movement, good in one and one fights and surprisingly good on PP. Point work probably matched anything McWard has done all season. Did, however, like McWard's overall game in this one.

Aman - looked too good for this level. Did this last year as well when send down - which got his season going

Friedman - makes a difference having a player with his speed and range. All the defensemen were good.

Glover - good forecheck and good in transition. Player has good wheels.

Stevens - had good jump. Good on PK and created offense.

Klimo - showing again he is improving and is a scoring threat at the AHL level

Not so good - none of the forward vets, outside of Stevens, contributed much.

The Henderson play-by-play team reporting that the Silver Knights are without nine players through injury and call-ups to Vegas.....basically six or seven replacement guys playing in their first AHL games. Welcome to the ugly reality of surviving in the AHL.

Kudryavtsev voted the game's first star of a 7-1 beatdown of Henderson......finished a goal and two helpers, and looked positively dominant on the PP. Just a fine young player developing for this Abbotsford team.

Family dinner tonight. Had to zip through the replay afterwards. Wow: to the team in general, and to what I think is the best performance by any Abby player this season... by a 20YO, and it wasn't Lekkerimaki or Pettersson.

Kudryavtsev was in total control right from his first shift. You can take away the points, pretend they don't exist; it was still impressive. Defence, puck retrievals, breakout passes, offensive zone play, everything. I've been grousing about him being treated like a #7 defenceman down there so far... well, this last couple of games should make it abundantly clear to everyone that this kid is not any less of a prospect than Pettersson and he deserves the full opportunity to play in all situations and get plenty of ice time.

Lekkerimaki showed some good flashes of skill, especially early in the game, a good but not excellent showing by him. Pettersson was mostly solid aside from one terrible unforced giveaway to a guy standing all alone in the slot. Young did okay again in net, there's plenty for him to work on but he's not looking too bad for a 20YO rookie. Mueller had probably his best game of the season, really good two-way effort and same comment for Stevens who is a steady player in that league. Glad to see Friedman healthy and playing again; he was good tonight in his return. McWard was good. Klimovich deserved his goal after a good forecheck to start the sequence, not bad on the whole but I thought he could've given a little better effort in spots.

Team has been missing quite a few guys who would play key roles... and yet, they've played maybe their two best games of the season in the last few days. Hopefully more of the same to follow. And it's nice to have a group of young guys there who have solid chances of helping Vancouver down the road.

I’m not sure how he’s looked in all 5 of his pro starts (3 ECHL / 2 AHL starts), but for a kid that just turned 20 a couple of months ago, Ty Young is having quite the start to his pro career.
