That's hilarious... changing the name, players only using initials, coach saying he was on fishing trip, gag orders... so much hijinx when it sounds like they could have just waltzed into the tournament without any of that, and just waved their initial erroneous reply from the Sask gov't in anybody's face. They overkilled it to such a laughable degree. Just so they could each drop $1000 on a few meaningless hockey games.

This illustrates why the reopening of minor hockey is going to be extremely difficult. There are approximately 3500 Hockey Canada sanctioned minor hockey associations, and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that many of them will break the rules of their province, public health unit and governing body. They will seek ways to skirt the rules rather than abide by them.
