As Ric Flair said, "to be the man you have to beat the man."

I think the talk about the Panthers being gassed is overblown. Do they have enough juice to win 4 rounds, 16 games again? Not too sure about that. Do they have enough gas to win 4 out of 7? Absolutely.

I don't like either team, particularly. I love Cooper as a coach. And I have definitely warmed to Maurice over the years. I just think when the puck drops, this Panthers team is tough to beat repeatedly.

Panthers in 7. Really looking forward to this one.

Tkachuk looks fine here. He's probably at least 85-90% already.

Tkachuk is gonna tear it up, looks happy and as healthy as can be. I'm sure Maurice will limit him a minute or two and roll 4 lines a lot in game 1 to avoid burnout in the group after a long layoff.

So they start Tuesday to give Florida's injured players as much time off as piossible.

All Panthers fans can't express enough gratitude to the refs, league and Bettman for rigging the Cup for Florida.
Hopefully they do it back to back to really get the Boss Man upset.

Can't tell a joke can you. In any event starting later just means there is a good chance that the opponent of the winner of this series will be resting up and waiting for this series to end.

Benny isn't gonna let his buddies down.
Panthers are going to back to back.

Makes no sense to start this series so late. Some teams ae going to be done 2 games before this series even starts. The other Atlantic series will start Game 2 before this series starts Game 1.

Florida's regular season ended on Tuesday, did Maurice ask for a week's rest before the series start due to nagging injuries?

Tampa in 6 or 7

If they lose again in the first round though, would there not be any hard questions about possibly blowing it up?. That would be 3 consecutive first round exits in that hypothetical situation

If they had not won in 20 and 21, I think it's possible. But what else do they have to prove other than to try to add a 3rd (or 4th) this year or next?

They'll keep it together till everyone ages out.

Who would they move on from outside McDonaugh?
The rest of the elite players have several years of term and most of their forwards still have a 4ish years of elite/good play left in them.

Nah. There's no shame in losing to this Panthers team. We were pretty down last year by our standards and ran into a buzzsaw. Now we're staring at what could have been the ECF in round 1. The real outlier here was the Leafs series, where we largely outplayed them but Vasy was horrible.

We've already reworked the team a bit going into this year, and we look really good.

At most I think you'll see another re-tool and maybe move on from a complementary piece or 2 (like Sergachev last season). The top guns have already won 2 Cups and been to 1 or 2 more - they're proven commodities.
