I hope the players have as much passion for the battle of Ontario as you guys , for some reason I feel like the history doesn't resonate with either team really that much. It's been a while. Outside of Domi and Tkachuk I doubt either side starts acting a fool out there

IDK, Greig firing a slapshot into an empty net last season certainly helped ramp things up. But of course, you need playoff series to really get the bad blood flowing like Toronto and Boston, and this is the first meeting in a long time for Toronto and Ottawa. The media attention will help escalate things for sure.

IMO, the Greig slapper kickstarted the Battle of Ontario 2.0

Who is better looking - Shane Pinto or Matthew Knies???

in term of type of player, Knies is closer of Tkachuk than Pinto, no doubt about it.

a post i saw like 3 game ago, i'm not saying Knies =is as good than Tkachuk but It still makes you think

Knies is playing wing with with Matthews and Knies and doing a great job (will be hard to contain in the playoffs). Pinto is currently playing centre on one of the best shutdown lines in the league and does a great job against top lines while scoring 20 goals playing with Greig and Amadio.

Would I trade Pinto for Knies? I can’t 100% say I would. There’s more to this than hockeydb.

Brady’s production has taken a dip but he’s playing the best defensive hockey of his career. Never did I think he would be doing the things he’s doing in his own zone this year. He was absolutely clueless away from the puck sometimes under DJ Smith.

There is some bad blood already. The Greig slapper for example

The Leafs playoff failures rest on the players, and like any coach Berube isn't perfect, but it will be nice to see a coach not pull out the line blender because the other team controls play for 7 minutes in the second period or something.

yeah he's playing with matthew marner but he play there because he earn it. He having every tool to become an elite power foward who making life miserable for opposite D/G. Can of player who able to play the Tkachuk type of game but with better self-control. He's also great defensively even for a guy only in his second season in the NHL.

Matthews played his worst season ever in NHL and didn't look himself during basically 75% of regular season but didn't hurt his line because of Knies game. Knies at 22 is already a better player than Hyman who's also played with matthews and marner and it's not even close.

Pinto is a good player but sorry their impact are not even close
