The leafs defense may be a bit slow, and mediocre at moving the puck. I think that will be the point of attack where the Sens have a chance. McCabe and OEL are just coming off injuries as well. The leafs D has some toughness and physicality, and they will engage with the Sens forwards on the forecheck and in front of the net. I think dragging them into the muck could be advantageous for the Sens forwards.

A heavy forecheck to wear that D down, cycle pucks, and get shots to the net with traffic will be the Sens recipe, and I think it could work.

Going to be great theater this series!

I don't think the Leafs D is slow or mediocre at moving the puck. I do agree the Sens are going to try and wear down the D that way, I just think the D is going to wear down the forwards. How many forwards do you even have who can move most of our dmen?

I feel like AM34 could look better and chooses the look while Tkachuk is just straight up ugly

Dunno what's worse. Also dunno why I'm spending my work day discussing the looks of players and if they could improve on them
Who is better looking - Shane Pinto or Matthew Knies???

Alright here is one for y'all. Let's debate these bottom 6es

Greig-Pinto-Amadio
Cousins-Gaudette-Zetterlund

vs

McMann - Holmberg - Robertson
Lorentz - Laughton - Jarnkrok

Nah.

We all know you're only interested in opinions that validate your own.

Ottawa tickets went on sale to the general public today, cheapest on StubHub for Game 3 is now $452. Almost $100 cheaper if you wanna go see one of the games in Toronto

No one wants to watch a game in that library. Bet they will still try to come even if it's cheaper in TO.

Want to share some reasoning?

I disagree somewhat. I take all three guys on our third line over theirs. McMann 20 goals, Robertson 20 goal pace if he played all games, Holmberg is a pest and makes clutch plays
I think their 3rd line has a better ability to matchup against top players while still chipping in offensively. Worry about ours a bit more giving up chances the other way. Exact same issue I think the Sens 4th line has compared to ours.

I expect a very competitive series. Impossible to say what team is going to win before it’s even started. I think we’re going to see some spectacular goaltending.

13th in HDSA... they don't limit high danger chances.

3rd highest sv% above expected.

Stolarz has been amazing, he has the best goalie stats in the league, just hasn't played enough.

Woll has been well above average, but Stolarz has carried the load.

Toronto is not defensive, they have good goaltending.

Stolarz has the 3rd highest GSAx/60 in the last 10 years (min 20 games, and only Stolarz last year and Ullmark from two years ago have him beat, that's it).

Having said all that, Stolarz is part of the team and has a chance to steal some games if he can carry over his play to the playoffs, but this team is not great anywhere outside of goaltending.

You will also get the argument that the leafs have great goaltending because they have a better defense.

These two things can compliment each other and usually do
