This is the most hotly-anticipated first round series for me.

Dallas/Colorado should be great because it’s like a conference final-quality series in the first round, but doesn’t come close to the passion or stakes of this the Battle of Ontario matchup imo. It’s like a powder keg waiting to go off.

Most pumped for this series. Brings another level of excitement seeing these two go at it. Wish I could be there to see a game as a neutral, energy is probably insane

You do understand that data used to generate statistics are collected by the home club and the bias varies from team to team. As a result, the end statistical result is too often not accurate enough to create a full picture. Watching both clubs play it’s clear that the Leafs play (when needed) a much more mature defensive structure than the Sens. Consequently the Sens goalie will need to stand on his head for that team to win even one game.

This is not true, maybe for the shot clock but those numbers get corrected all the time during stoppages because the NHL has a 3rd party tracking all data. There's zero chance the NHL would allow home arena tracking of data and enter into the sports betting, that would be a massive scandal.

Caliber of hockey: by far Dal/Col

Number of fans: by far Tor/Ott

I really don't think the stakes are higher though - unless you're talking about TML fan emotions being on the precipice

Need a thumbs down emoji, how dare the NHL not put the Leafs on Saturday for game 1.

I think if it wasn't a long weekend they probably would have put it Saturday, but there's no real difference because Monday is a holiday. This also sets them up nicely for a Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday schedule for games 2-4.

Sure but we all know goaltending is the most important position in the playoffs. If a forward doesn't produce you can have others try and compensate for that. With the number 1 goalie that alone can sink a team if he doesn't produce

Yup.

If Ullmark isn’t up to the task, hopefully Green puts Leevi in instead of Forsberg.

Antony Stolarz is going to be the X-Factor of the series in my opinion. People have been doubting our goaltending all season, for absolutely no reason to be honest. But as we approach game 82, Stolarz is

#1 in the league in save percentage at .926
#3 in the league in goals against average at 2.14
#7 in the league in shutouts with 4

We have some playoff experience, home ice advantage, great goaltending and a strong 2-way system.
