Jet fan here, I picked the Leafs in 5.
Would love to see the Sens take them out but doubt that will happen. This years version of the Leafs have all the ingredients for a long PO run. They are a much more complete team than years past and the Eastern conference is not the juggernaut it use to be. Would not be surprised to see them make it to the final. Don't see them beating whoever comes out of the west but in a last 7 games series anything can happen.

As for the Sens, the experience they get in these POs, no matter what happens will serve them well next season and beyond.

The Jets have used all that Playoff experience to good use. That much is evident.
You can keep the experience; we're going for the Cup.

Keep telling yourself it’s the guy with the .887 in the playoffs.

So it's crazy to think the vezina winning goalie goalie with a total of 6 bad playoff games (which were on an entirely different team) is going to turn it around... but not (crazy) to think an entire team led by proven playoff chockers is (going to turn it around)?

Mental gymnastics must be one of your strengths.

This thread is quite entertaining. lol

Good luck with that.
Getting the experience to win it all is never a linear experience.
The Sens will not be the exception.
They are no where ready to win it all.
That said, they may be ready in 3-6 years from now.
I think they can be that good.

He won that vesna on an entirely different team too.
Who was the better goalie this season?

If the leafs are mentally fragile like in playoffs of the recent past, the sens have a shot
Exactly. You are probably going to punch us in the mouth because you guys have self-respect and always give 100% against us. It's how we respond that will dictate things. If we respond in kind and aren't intimidated i do think we take it. If we don't, Ottawa definitely is capable of winning 4...and if they do this core is history.

St Louis blues were an exception and came out of nowhere, missing the playoffs year before winning it all.

Some teams have linear progression but most don’t. I doubt anyone thinks Oilers look better this year after being a win away from a cup.

Better to enjoy the parity and see what happens. Even the panel “experts” are wrong 90% of the time. Glad it’s like this and not like the NBA where it’s way more predictable who goes far.

I have the leafs winning this one. The hate boner people have for them in the playoffs is getting tiresome even for me. I like their d a lot more this playoffs. Getting rid of Dubas was the best thing to happen for that team.
I don't know if I should feel honored or insulted lol

Hot take. Montreal and Ottawa only in po because Boston and NY teams especially NYR had off year and missed the mark completely.

...another hot take: Toronto's vaunted CORE has won a total of 1 playoff round in 8 years and that was against an exhausted Bolts team that just went to 3 straight Cup Finals...Ottawa wins...

Also, I’ve never been more certain in my life that there will be a slam dunk stupid play in game 1.

The question is who…

Domi?
Tkachuk?
Laughton?
Cousins?

Domi and Tkachuk are both idiots in different ways, that's a good bet.
