If there is a good context to it, and I wouldn't call that cherry picking.

Ottawa came into the season with alot of changes. It took a couple months to get things to come together. Since then they have been good.

You clearly are only here to make one liners and try and dunk on people - with varying degrees of intellectual honesty.

I don't expect you to have a honest hockey take on this but ignore trends at your peril.

The Leafs literally brought in an entire new coaching staff going from Keefe team to a Berube system. They lost almost their entire forward and Dcore at points this season and both goalies. Leafs had more than their share of it too.

They've really only found the right balance of their talent and Berube's system in the last 6 weeks or so

Seeing the thought process behind your arguments you sure would know the definition of limp.

Like, if this is the same Sens team that missed the last 7 years then this is the same Leafs team that choked in the playoffs the last 7. No? Do you need help de-scrambling what I said?

"Changes" is a relative word to some apparently.

Wow that one poster is struggling, brings nothing to the thread, but creepy sexist male gifs,

I might have to hit the ignore button for the first time in 20 years, if that keeps up.

Edit: lol, looks like mods stepped in before I posted this, only one left now.
Hopefully he goes away.

Sure. Leafs are better than their record, but so is Ottawa.

Ottawa is a bit different though. They have been a bad team got 7 years. No real base of a system to start with.

Both teams are have been playing good hockey since December and over the last couple months.

It's going to be a good series and could easily break either way.

I watched every playoff victory of the Leafs against the Sens when the Leafs were a big, bruising, physical team. Those Ottawa teams were stacked with young talent but they didn't have the heart. I watched Roberts run over a young Chara, it probably helped Chara to realize being a big guy requires some fight. Leafs beat them every year, four times in a row they met them.
There was the Triangle of Death. Ottawa always beat Philly, Philly always beat Toronto, Toronto always beat Ottawa.

Compare all the stats then, from all the years. Not the few that make you feel better.
So this years stats don’t matter? Stolarz had better stats last year too if you want to increase the sample size.
Career the have the same save% and a .02 difference in GAA.
When their career stats are that close tie goes to the guy who has been better the last 2 years.
You can try to argue that Stolarz is unproven in the playoffs if you want but then we would have to look at Ullmark’s playoff performances. Dont think you wanna go there huh?

Go ask the other 30 franchises which goalie they would rather have.
