When the series is over, I predict Berube to declare:

“We got a lot of respect in that (handshake) line from their team. It was a much different tone of respect on the other side from what we’ve experienced previously. We’re earning respect in the league. But we’re not in the respect game. We’re in the winning game."

“Tim Stutzle is a hell of a player. Probably my favorite player in the league. Firm handshake on the kid, too”
- Craig Berube (2025)

In their last 14 playoff games, the Leafs have scored more than 2 goals on one occasion (holy f*** lol)

That was against Linus Ullmark in game 2 of the Boston series last year

Everyone assumes defense and goaltending were the leafs problems. It’s been goal scoring though

Isn’t that what you’ve been doing with the post-deadline record but you stopped ever since someone pointed out Ottawa has an identical one?

Too bad, if they showed any sort of consistency they could have won the division!

When you need to add parameters to an argument, is it really that great of an argument?
Sure, but it’s still valid point, from the last 4 1/2 months, it’s a 2 point difference.

Not for you specifically, but just in general.
Gary Roberts just said on Overdrive, without goaltending Leafs probably lose all those series against the Sens.

Senators fans want us to be scared of this guy?

Up to you. Season stats look decent.

EDIT: What does that 1.000 mean in that game? I can't recall.

Haven’t you been reading?

This is a Leafs team without any weaknesses.

Perfection in hockey evolution.

Might as well not even watch the games.
Better forwards, better D, and better goaltending. Odd how they got swept in the season series. We all know the season doesn’t matter and the Leafs always show up come the big dance.

we love Gary Roberts, you know that right?

It's October and November homie. I realize that's usually your Cup run, but when teams gets into form and start playing mid-season hockey, it's usually around December/January on.

That’s not how division winners play. That sounds like a wild card team level of mediocrity

Seeing as the Leafs are such huge choke artists and the Sens won every game this year, would be absolutely embarrassing anything less than a sweep win. They are better in every way but stars who vanish right? Shouldn't be close. Leafs are really the under dogs

Are the Leafs allowed to cherry pick their worst stretch of the season out as well or?
stupid Toronto had their bad stretch during the lull of the season (January)

Feb 1 and onwards the Leafs have went 21-7-2
Feb 1 and onwards the Senators have went 17-10-3 - very solid record! But when you allow Toronto to remove their mediocre month as well they don't quite look the same anymore
