Stutzle after Domi completely misses a body check

Jake Sanderson is a good player.

Jake Sanderson has 23 5 on 5 points and is -11

Jake McCabe is a good player and has missed time.

Jake McCabe had 22 5 on 5 points and is +23

Sanderson isn’t even the best Jake in the series, let alone in the last 50 years.
Just watch the game. You'll see how good Sanderson is. I'm excited for you, you obviously haven't seen a ton of the guy yet.

These guys make the playoffs for the first time in almost a decade and they come out like they’ve won back to back cups 🤣.

Ottawas only chance is if the league continues to spoon feed them powerplays.
you're talking about a team acting like they had playoff success???

you really sure you want to use that argument, think about it

What do the Leafs have to be nervous about? What are they 15-2-1 since the TDL? Their starting goalie with 3 shutouts in his last 4 games. Expecting a healthy lineup game 1.

When have the Leafs EVER done that? Usually they are stumbling into the playoffs, not grabbing destiny by the horns and.. doing something to it.
Since trade deadline, looks like a wash.

Senators 13-5-2
Leafs 13-5-1

You didn't answer my question.

Who are the good players on Ottawa?

But I'll answer yours.

It doesn't matter whether they are scared or not, that line has been our best line and they've a big reason why Ottawa's winning percentage in the last month and a half is .717. (Leafs are .696)

They play against the top lines of the opposition and often come out ahead.
Look at who they have been playing. Teams that are either out of it, sitting players, or have nothing to play for. That makes a difference.

Do we really need to list the good players on Ottawa lol? Here I’ll humour you:

Stutzle
Tkachuk
Sanderson
Chabot (didn’t think I’d ever be saying that)

Batherson is decent, but I can’t say I’m really a fan of his work.

The difference is Leafs fans are well aware of the lack of success and collectively are probably more negative about the team and our history than any other fanbase here is. A good comparable is the Leafs first playoff round in 2017 against Washington - do you think Leafs fans were talking shit to Capitals fans and voting that they'd win?

Part of this thread is learning about the other team.

One of the keys in the minds of Sens fans towards pulling the upset is whether our shutdown line can be as effective as they've been over the past few months.

Either they will, and you will figure out who these guys are, or they won't, and they will simply be outmatched by the high-end skill of the Leafs big guns.

The only thing Sens fans are confident of is that their team is going to be playing in Game 1 of the playoffs, and that's all they really care about. Everything else is a bonus.
You can’t pretend that you’re just happy to be there. That’s not really acceptable after you’ve missed the dance 8 years in a row right?

We were just happy to be there and made a series of it. For a young team, it was a good start.

Well, they've been our best line for awhile.

I guess we'll see how they do in the playoffs.

Yikes. If they are your best line maybe this will be a sweep

It doesn't matter man. Ottawa's been playing great hockey too, I'm sure you're well aware of that. You know it deep down, and now you're trying to convince me of your confidence. The true sign of a confident person, when they try to convince other people how confident they are lol.

I've been watching nearly every sens game since the matchup was looking real (maybe 3 weeks). I know their players and their system. I know their depth pieces. I've seen them play some really good shutdown defense. I've seen Ullmark standing on his head.

None of that matters though because it wasn't done against the Leafs

Sens outscored the leafs 9-4 (and also posted a shutout, lol) in our season series this year.

Regular season means nothing. That happened in the past, Leafs swept the Sens. Leafs beat the Bruins all year, lost in 7 games.

Leafs in 67. This Sens team could can make some surprises. As a Leafs fan, kinda worried.

correct me if im wrong but when the leafs were playing the caps then the caps had some playoff success (like a few rounds)

the shit talking from both sides aside the leafs performance in the playoffs other teams have confidence, you can sub in ottawa with anyone. Until leafs prove it otherwise thats how opponents are going to be

Would it be fair to say the Keafs have a more stout defence? I think they do.

The goal was to make the playoffs. They made it. Nobody even talked about what happens after that, because nobody cared. Make it, and then see what happens.

This will probably end up being a super close series, Leafs have like no depth at forward again so it'll depend on if their stars can show up. Ottawa definitely has the worse roster on player but they have so many gamers on their team it's hard to count them out.

with all that said sens in 4

Its a shame you had to destroy your credibility this early into things. The series doesn't even start until Sunday.

Leafs are a clear cut favorite and should win. But being this hockey illiterate is more or less a true representation of your fanbase. You guys dont watch any other teams, even if they are playing your team. Not hockey fans, leaf fans.
