Imagine your team gets burned on a 2 on 4 rush from Max Domi and Simon Benoit and the next day you are complaining about it being to many men missed lmao can't make it up. Wild move by Green.

If that's true, Green better watch it. Refs have long memories.

What?..

You said Florida is playing the best goalie and I showed you his last 6 playoff starts vs Florida...

They've shown they can beat the "best goalie".

and he had even worst stats vs Toronto but when hes in his game... its an other story

if i have to take any G in NHL to make me win in a key game like a #7 gm... hes the #1 of my list

Matches the eye test, watch out for them Senators when they're down by a lot!

this shows a very clear narrative, using real stats, that explains why all the ‘advanced’ stats mean absolutely nothing.

This is score effects and it’s clear as day, simple to understand and actually proves what it’s meant to prove.

This is exactly why xG/60 or whatever neo-stats are hot right now, do not have any ability to predict results

Advanced stats can be interesting, but honestly pretty useless aside from just trying to make an argument about why your team is losing or why your favorite player is better than another players even though the real stats say the opposite.

Put you faith back in real stats. We’ve used these metrics for a hundred years for a reason

Tampa is getting rinsed out there.
I`m sure they`ll make it a series but Cooper, Vasi and Secondary Assist guy won`t take much heat if they lose to Florida. That team is lean, mean and hungry as heck.

As for our series, obviously we can`t take this in 5 anymore.
Leafs had best bring their preparation game tomorrow though, the attack will be fierce and I`m expecting Stolars to surrender early.
We shall see how the Leafs do when down a goal or two...vibe`s gonna shift in a hurry.
That is one possibility. The team has to be ready.

Wow, had to look it up for myself.

Green actually did state he thought the overtime goal may have been too many men. I had to see it with my own eyes to believe it.

In an era where a Leaf coach got blasted for an offhand comment about respect between two teams at the end of a tough series, this maroon thought a 2 on 4, where the other Leafs are changing and nowhere near the play, should have been a penalty on the Leafs?

Obviously too many men......

I don't know what to say about it. Am I missing something here? Please for the love of god help me figure out what he meant by "the overtime goal was arguably too many men on the ice".

Why is there so much Lightning/Panthers talk on this thread? we are only 2 games in.

I was wondering the same thing. Are sens fans so desperate for a chirp that now they have to brag about another team?

There is a lot of hockey to play yet, I am not at all interested in talking Florida or Tampa unless it’s about their own series.

There is a job to be done here and I’m laser focussed on the team getting that job done

I don’t give a shit about Tampa or Florida

It actually looked like Ottawa had too many on the ice as the Leafs sped through the neutral zone. Maybe he's complaining since he thought the refs should have blown the play dead and given OTT a penalty?

Nope. He said he thought Toronto had to many men on the ice for the game winner lol and multiple times last night!

Vasilevskiy always had bad tendency to start the playoff slowly, it's nothing new...

It's only one game and you reacting like Florida was already in stanley cup final.

Yeah Florida had been impressive in game one but the harder still to come and they still need 3 win...

And Toronto still need to win 2, so when both serie will be over, no problem to talk about any matchup but rigjt now, we not there at all

Should we go to the Florida/tampa series thread and start talking about Florida/toronto?

Of course not. This is ridiculous, just ignore him

Florida are better to concentrate to finish his 1st serie because this serie is far away of be over.

Tampa can bounce back and win next one 6-0, would not be surprising at all
Not that the panthers are in any way the Leafs.
But in our 2 series against the lightning both game 1’s were blow outs.
The team that got blown out in the first game ended up winning both series.

Going up 1-0 and looking great doing it good. But it doesn’t mean it won’t be a long series and it doesn’t mean it is going to continue.

I don’t understand what that screen shot is supposed to show.

It’s not 3 on 3, it shows 4 Ottawa players but it’s 5 on 5. Is there a screen shot showing 6 players on the ice?

Shit happens. lt's playoff hockey.

Vasi sporting a .872 sv% and nearly a 4 GAA vs Panthers in the last 6 playoff games.

Does that against the Leafs too big deal

Why is there so much Lightning/Panthers talk on this thread? we are only 2 games in.

Insecurity by Panthers fans. They know their team isn't what it was and the Leafs are the big dogs now.

Regardless, the Sens players were poking at the puck instead of creating contact with Leaf puck carriers way too much in both games. It cost them in OT.
It’s crazy because Batherson could have (and should have) absolutely lit up Domi. Cozens pokes at it and it guides Domi right into a huge, clean hit that eliminates the scoring chance… with the Leafs dman pinching up.

Instead he does the softest fly by and the puck ends up in our net 2 seconds later, and we lose a winnable game.
