Where are all the sens fans , y'all just gonna let all these maple leafs fans spit on your grave in here?!
The 2 of them are having a meeting about yesterday's game. They'll be back shortly.
Dude, there's like, 4 leafs fans that have spammed the main board threads about this series and game 1. They're a dedicated bunch, I'll give them that.Where are all the sens fans , y'all just gonna let all these maple leafs fans spit on your grave in here?!
Your boys are going to give the Caps all they can handle. This is the last day I can instigate my two little bros to fight before my teams takes a L too and I gotta be quiet so I get it
Oh what a burn…
It’s amazing how you can’t have any real talks about the Leafs with Leafs fans
I have money for the Leafs to win this, but home team, game 1, Stanley Cup expectations. Usually the 1st 10mins are the survival minutes for opposing teams and I didn’t feel the pressure from the Leafs
Doesn’t mean they s..ck just expected them to go out of the gate with different energy
How was he suppose to have stopped?
Your boys are going to give the Caps all they can handle.![]()
With his skates. Like everyone else does?
The guy initiated some contact to give him an excuse to go flying into our goaltender. He wasn’t even knocked off his skates, he bailed.
Unless this was his first day skating or something?
Sens and Ullmark in particular just put up a stinker. Not sure if they're a good enough team to do that even once and still win a series like this but one game doesn't necessarily mean everything. Going to need Linus to dial in sharpish and get more pucks into the Leafs' high danger areas.
The Leafs tend to like to do things the hard way so I still see this going at least 6 games.
Does he have an extra pair of skates on his back? Because he was on his back when he hit the ice, less than 1 metre from Stolarz. With his skates. Like everyone else does?
He should have stopped to avoid contact with marner? Not his fault Marner gave him the outside lane. Gotta cut the guy off before the net if you don’t want him to lose an edge while he cuts to the net.
Everyone knew Greig was gonna drive the net. Marner played it soft and gave him the lane.
Does he have an extra pair of skates on his back? Because he was on his back when he hit the ice, less than 1 metre from Stolarz.
Because Leafs never cry about how the refs are always against them. It’s hockey.Imagine being able to have a hockey discussion without it always involving the refs. It’s a shame
Why does the Leafs winning mean that Ottawa "rolled over"? I don't think Ottawa will roll over. They just aren't as good as the Leafs, and they will struggle to win games against this Toronto team. I don't think it's any more complicated than that.I can only imagine how civil it would be in here today had the Sens drawn first blood.
Fans can have fun, Leafs, Sens or, um, others. It's part of being a fan.
That said, Ottawa isn't going to roll over. It's going to be a f***ing war. There's only one way for the Leafs to shake that perennial "choke" label.
So he was just going to stop while driving to the net instead of driving to the net and get shoved by Marner? You're delusional.![]()
4 Ways to Stop on Ice Skates - wikiHow
There are two main ways to stop on ice skates. The "snowplow stop" is a beginner technique that will get the job done, even if it isn't always graceful. The more advanced "hockey stop" requires balance and finesse, but it is much quicker...www.wikihow.com
if you don’t want him to lose an edge
Okay?"A" literally means one. Scoring and injure are two purposes.
You really live in your own special make-believe world don't you?
Anyone who has played hockey at any level can pretty easily spot the difference between a player legitimately driving toward the net with the intention of creating a scoring chance and targeting the goalie but making it look like he slipped (or was pushed) into him.
I'll give you a hint, watch Grieg's stick as he's cutting toward Stolarz. He had ZERO intention of pulling it across and trying to score. In fact the second Marner touches him he goes almost completely limp (again, just watch his stick and arm).
That is textbook goalie crashing, by an amateur. The really good ones can make it look like an honest play. He did not.
No he can initiate contact with Marner, but you have to pull up before you run into the goalie with reckless bullshit like that.
He didn’t lose an edge, he bailed. He knew exactly what he was doing and so do all the maple leafs
