Players only meeting would be strange. That would indicate there’s a problem in the group that needs to be openly addressed without coaches there. Is that what happened?

Do you think that is what happened?

Ottawa isn’t Tampa or Florida. They aren’t even Boston.

And Ullmark certainly isn’t even a shadow of Carey Price.

The Leafs gave all those great teams everything they could handle, and beat a dynasty Tampa bay team. Ottawa is living on hopes and dreams in this series and their biggest dream is that Toronto beats themselves.

Not a lot to hold onto, is it?

You’ve won 1 series in 9 years. Pierre Dorion has more playoff wins as Ottawa GM than Toronto has in 21 years.

Get off your high horse, your team is going to choke this series away and you’re watching Mitch Marner in his final 5 Leafs games. And you won’t enjoy it because they will lose this series in 6 games

Leafs were pumping in fake crowd noise over the arena stereo last night. Leafs fans were atrocious last night
Are you doing okay, pal? Lots of hockey to be played, no need to get so upset after one game. You’re going to burn yourself out.

Why are you on a high horse when this is your first series in many years? Relax my man, getting sad at this point.

Cool, make me a gifted sponsorship bet.

Leafs lose and I’ll pay for your sponsorship, leafs win and you pay for mine

Are the Sens young core players mature enough to put aside their individual play and stay inside team structure that reduces their offence? It’s a hard game to play the right way against a hardened playoff club that is playing that way. It’s not the fun free skating style some of the Sens younger guys prefer.

That is honestly the question and nobody can know the answer until we see it.

Its important to know that a team can respond after a big loss. Keep their cool, smarten up and play better. Learn some lessons.

A big loss was going to happen at some point in the playoffs, so I guess it's good to get it out of the way early. Provided that they can respond in the right way.

Game 2 should be interesting!

What calls were 100% clearly not penalties? If I had to make an argument, the Tanev call and the trip on Nylander were on the softer side. The rest of the calls are legit and really you got lucky.

The crosscheck to Tavares head SHOULD have been 5. It went to 2. Lots of checks up high on Leafs all night, trips, etc. Those are going to be called 100% of the time playoffs or not. Whistles going away is more subtle interference and things, it doesn't mean you can attempt to injure no problems.

That was a clear 2 minute penalty and Tavares milked it. Ottawa did deserve most of their penalties, but there were some bad calls in there. Toronto still would have won, that just took the game to a point where there was no way Ottawa could ever get into it.

Senators definitely looked like a team that had no playoff experience. Tried too hard to be physical and tough when sometimes what you need is to embellish what your opponent is doing to you.

The call on Tavares was reduced to 2 minutes so this is irrelevant.

You guys can keep saying that, but I think it’s safe to say the Leafs have never been known as the team that embellishes/dives.

Their opponents this series however are known league wide for flopping.
Nice hyperbole, good one dude.
Your team was embarrassing itself last night, and got called out for it by US and CDN broadcasters.
