Columbus is still holding down a playoff spot, in a year when everyone said they would be awful because their best player tragically died. Even if they don't plan to extend Provorov, I would keep him if I were them, and hope to get something done in the summer before he hits UFA.

It's going to be 8years because CBJ can keep cap hit down. Man, GMs love their middle pairing defenders, Jarmo gave of Severson and Waddell will lock in Provorov. 27-31 year old top4 (experienced / dependable0 dmen must be impossible to find for some reason.
