I hope so, comrade, I hope so. There's definitely signs of encouragement and improvement in both on-ice play and metrics, but there's definitely degrees of concern as well.

It’s hard to stay optimistic, but I believe they have the right personnel but they haven’t peaked as a team yet. Ullmark has been a horror show when the team in front of him were playing well (e.g. 2 saveable goals in PHI), they need him to come up big and shut the door. Starts from crease up.

Athletes go through ups and downs. As everyone who's played sports knows, one month you're in the zone and the next month you're trash. They have lost their confidence (in particular Ullmark). Will they get it back? Most definitely. How long it takes is the issue.

This team is not good at protecting and clearing the crease and defending their own goal. Many teams aren't, the Oilers are usually one of them, but we don't have a McDavid and Draisaitl single-handedly outscoring the team's defensive shortcomings.

If Ullmark and Forsberg can become above average for the rest of November (and the season) and at least compensate for these issues, anything is still possible, they are close enough still. But other than that, this team is just the definition of average and won't be able to have a long run of wins.

Ullmark needs to find his game. But this isn't like other goalies we've had. He just needs to find his groove. This teams also needs to start bearing down. I think the elements are all there for good team play. They just need to gel.

Toronto, Boston, Philly, Vegas all showed us what this team is capable of. They just need to believe in themselves. This isn't a talent issue or a personnel issue currently. It's a between the ears issue.

You know, this time last year I would have given up on this team. But there is something different going on this year.

YEah I also forgot to mention Leafs goaltending has stolen them many games. We're generating and suppressing chances better than the Leafs.

It's one of those things. When the Sens are dominating possession and shots without result the pressure mounts on Ullmark, and it feels almost like an insurmountable climb back when he lets in bad goals after such an effort.
