A Deeper Look at the 2014-15 Schedule

But then we have the least amount of back to back games in the division. I don't think mileage matters as much as a compressed schedule. We have alot of games upfront, that's okay with me as long as it evens out in December, which this schedule does.

Yep, least back-to-backs was the case last year too, I believe.
 
But we start off the season at home, an hopefully will look to avoid having such a disastrous first two months.

Additionally, with Pitt and a new coach, they'll likely have some sort of transitioning period... which means we can conceivably take 1st place and play an easier opponent in the first round of the playoffs.
 
Also, something I noticed, all 30 teams will be playing on the final day of the season.
 
Lots of travel doesn't matter, we probably wont reach the SCF next year anyway. We're good, but not that good.
 
Third most in the division in a division with 8 teams means we could still travel less than 25 teams in the league.

I haven't looked to see where we rank overall, but im not really concerned, ever, by the amount of travel we have to do.
