For the first time I think, last night I was really almost shocked at how old some of the guys from the '94 team look. When Messier's number was raised to the rafters in the mid 2000's he still looked pretty youthful, almost the same. But now he's getting that "old man" neck, age spots etc. I would say Richter looks pretty good aside from some hair loss, but maybe the beard is hiding some of his aging. MacTavish looks like Papa Smurf. Tikkanen looks like he's about to explode. Anderson looks like his own father. Matteau looks like "that creepy uncle" now. Jay Wells was born old so not much change there, but still.

Anyway, I don't mean to rip on the guys appearances because it was still awesome to see everyone, but it just kind of hit me last night for the first time what aging does to you and how much QUICKER it does it to you than you may realize. That's why I try to avoid smoking, drinking, and I always exercise. Of course I'm still going to age, but still it's better to do those things.

On a more positive note, Keenan actually looks younger now than he did 5 years ago. Maybe it's the shaved head? He also looks happier in general which is good to see.

Anyone else have anything to add in regards to how the guys looked? It just depressed me a little. I'm in my 40's now and starting to feel really old lol.

They won the Cup 25 years ago. The guys on the roster were in their 20's and 30's. These are hockey players. They're not going to get botox and toupees to try and look younger.

Also - @bobbop is probably going to punch you next time he sees you for saying you're in your 40's and are feeling old. ;)
