Did anybody else just find out there is a game today?

Lines in practice per Jon Rosen

F lines: Pearson-Carter-Toffoli, King-Shore-Lewis, Clifford-Dowd-Purcell, Mersch-Crescenzi-Brodzinski. Wagner/Bjorkstrand/Bissonnette extras

D: Forbort-Greene, McNabb-LaDue, Gravel-Gilbert; Reddekopp/Cernak look like extras.

I like how they are giving guys like Forbort, Gravel, Gilbert and Greene a long look throughout the preseason as they're the ones who have something to prove. I don't expect LaDue to make the team this season but it is great to see how often he is being used as well, and it's also a great opportunity for McNabb to play some big minutes which he needs to get used to drawing.

Shore and Dowd both have something to prove as well.

-Colorado is expected to ice an NHL/AHL tweener lineup tonight; Semyon Varlamov is expected to start in goal. Via their lineup sheet, these players should be expected to wear burgundy and blue tonight: Chris Bigras, Erik Johnson, Troy Burke, Turner Elson, Duncan Siemens, Nikita Zadorov, Mike Sislo, Rene Bourque, Mikhail Grigorenko, Andreas Martinsen, Patrick Wiercioch, Nathan MacKinnon, Jim O’Brien, J.T. Compher, Sam Henley, A.J. Greer, Anton Lindholm and Gabriel Bourque.

If Dowd can continue his strong play and force his way into a spot, I would feel much better about this team going into the season.

Kopitar
Carter
Dowd
Shore

Is actually starting to look promising. It looks like Colorado will have a little more of an NHL lineup than the Ducks, so we will see how they do.

If we are to take away anything from the camp and projected lines (and taking into account that Gaborik is injured), it appears that these lines may be set in stone...

Setoguchi-Kopitar-Brown
Pearson-Carter-Toffoli
Clifford-Dowd-Purcell
King-Shore-Lewis

Extras:
Nolan-Andreoff-Latta

Either somebody is going to get moved or the Kings are going to place a forward on waivers.

Of course, this is under the assumption that Setoguchi will be signed to replace Gaborik. Once Gaborik returns, they would have to make room for him as well.

In the short term I think Latta goes down. And then once Gaborik gets back, if Setoguchi is signed, one of Clifford, Shore or King gets moved.

Agreed on this but I think Dwight King is the odd man out. Rumors of him being dealt have been around for awhile.

Nolan has been rotating in for years, but not much room for him now with Purcell and Lewis on the bottom RW slots - Latta is a RW/C so he could rotate in for Shore/Dowd , and Lewis and King are pretty much every day players. I think Kings will keep Latta and Andreoff (LW/C) around as versatility or to replace Dowd/Shore if they stumble.

Andreoff-Shore-Lewis would be a solid 4th line.

3-1 loss. I caught a total of 3 minutes of the game. Did anyone play well? I see Campbell didn't allow any goals.
