What line can you really focus on if you're playing Canada? You can shut down 3 but get burnt even by the 4th. Amazing. This national team since 2010 has been incredible. Not even the 1984-91 group can compare as they had more hiccups in the Canada Cups and the Gold medal team of 2002 had a lot of troubles and older players. But man, looking ahead to when some of those Team NA kids can make Team Canada (hopefully at an Olympics too) it could be a few decades of brilliance on the international stage. Crosby will always be there if he wants to be. I could see at 37yo Sid as a 3rd line shutdown centre in a 2024 WC. And by then, McDavid should be this country's offensive catalyst internationally.
