What were they thinking not having their best goalie play at all?

This is coming from a Rangers fan..
 
This team underperformed even relative to the roster, and that's on management and coaching.

Yes. Start with firing Torts, then the GM. The new GM hires a good coach, rather than a loud obnoxious coach.
 
I love Team Canada- but this might sound weird, but i always cheer for USA when Canada is not playing. I was down there at the ACC, since my co-worker got free tickets. I was cheering for USA.

I feel absolutely disgusted for the many American Fans that watched this 3 game performance from this team. Some fans i ran into- came all the way from Texas, Florida, and California to support this US team.

They spent good money to come to Toronto, and i feel sorry for them; since there is no excuse why USA should not have beaten Europe and Czech Republic. They should have been to the Semis, with the right coaching and management. Too much talent not to. This management team's selections were a joke. If they had competent management and coaching, i thought the US team could have been in the finals against Canada (with the right selections). USA Hockey embarrassed themselves. Hope they can learn from this and bounce back.
 
this is exactly what needed to happen. i dont ever want to see larkin playing for torts. tyler johnson is money in big games and they dont even invite him? faulk,Shattenkirk, kessel and bobby ryan could have all helped. its like they wanted to be bad with the team and coaching they brought.

Exactly.

Most of the blame rests with management. There is enough talent in America (even with the U23 kids not eligible) to compete against Canada, and anyone else in this tournament. There is no lack of talent in America at all.

At the same time, a lot of the players did not bring their A game to this tourney. They showed in the first exhibition what they were capable of when they played 100%. If they had kept up that level of paly, they could've made it to the final easily.
 
Meh game, could have gone both ways. Many mistakes in D on both sides (lost pucks, bad passes, odd man rushes), perhaps a bit more mistakes by team USA, but we were mostly unable to punnish them...

Overall good result for team CZE in the tournament considering what we have... Ending up 6th with 3 points, one OT goal away from advancing. I'm happy it didn't end up with an embarrassment for us. The Finns and USA have a lot to think about.
 
Blaming coaching and managment too much...that roster should have been able to win a game. They were handpicked in a group to cruise to the finals. (Avoiding Canada in the semis and playing (arguably) the least favoured teams in Euro/Czech.
 
When I looked at these groups before the WC, it looked like they were rigged for Canada and USA to walk into the semi's. Unbelievable that USA has done so poorly in these games.
