Maybe you're joking but I've read this notion a couple of other times as well. Are a lot of finns under the belief that the Worlds are a better and more meaningful tournament than this one?

It's a real tournament. It doesn't have the best players but at least it's real. Much more prestige.

I never thought North America would be quite as good as they ended up being and I didn't expect them to be the most entertaining team I've ever watched. It's a shame they're not advancing, they're clearly the best team besides Canada.

And people were giving **** for Kari Jalonen...

Marjamäki did what he could ... nobody scores so impossible to win. Wouldn't have helped if you shuffled the lines infinite times – players were for sure prepared to this match correctly.

We need better offense.

NO chemistry going...what happened to a guys like JJ is symptomatic..from 1liner to 3liner...Teravainen gets scratched in the first game and then goes straight to the 1st line (not thad bad actually)...Korpikoski favoured over Haula...Lehtera (specially) and Donskoi who had good seasons in NHL, were underused..Barkov lost in the middle of the line games...

And the defense is even worst, so is better not getting started...

So, yes..the coach is accountable, but still I think if he is expected to be any good, should be given a chance

Mmmhh... however the OG is in 2018, and they really should think who they want to lead the team..so yes, the decision should be taken now

Well, thats that. Rooting for the big bear to rip the red leaf and win the cup :handclap:

How did Finland's offense get so bad in the last 2.5 years? They won the bronze at Sochi in 2014, now they can't score one goal in 3 games?

Selanne bought a suit.

Sure, there could probably have been more done on Finland's part but in the end, it was a pretty tough (and rigged "group lottery") group.

Our team finally achieved something on best of the best level. No chance against Canada, but at least in top 4 or 3. Finland is a good young team. They unlucky that coaching is not good this year, but still they have very promising future.

Well the points summary tell a bit of a different story don't you think? Entertaining or not they ended up third in the group.

LOL at people who blame coaching. Finland played pretty good puck possession against Sweden and Russia. Had chances but did not score. Small marginals. Also when you look at the roster for example our defense it is not very good.

Yeah I guess so, but in the age old discussion of which country is the best at the game of hockey the World Championships means about as much as the Euro Hockey Tour.
