He is such a good person...

If you knew him you would be blessed he was in your circle...

Sad when people throw this stuff out there.

The people that truly know him, know he is all good...

He is no robot... He is a person that has a great sense of urgency to have purpose in life... He is a man with faith, cares about family, his teammates and people who care...

His public persona he projects is not about ego, but in what he believes...

:yo:

Spare us the sermon cause mainstream media is in bed with the devil...sports and entertainment talking heads too

Really folks, the high sticking rule is crystal clear. Player is responsible for his stick at all times.

There is even specific language in the rule for accidental vs careless/intentional contact. The double minor is for ACCIDENTAL contact. If it was intentional it's a MAJOR and a misconduct.

Yeah, the person being leg tripped should fall nicely so that the poor leg tripper doesn't get hurt.

Is there any record of Toews smiling?

I understand what ur saying, but I'd leave that to ref's discretion...did u see? refs were discussing it..If it looked like player took advantage of trip/falling to woops....accidentally on purpose ...dangerously wave his stick and clip a guy , I'd throw the book at em...BUT in a situation like that, which wasn't like that...I'd be like ...nope didn't see it Big Joe...Get in dah box...

thats why its good u are not there:)
the rules are clear how come persons on a hockey forum are so shocked from a clear situation. high stick is high stick.

Good question..

Really want to watch that game... the young Fins are not quitters and they will come to play. Its up to Russia to come to play. They will need to if they care.

If Russia loses to unmotivated Finland and doesn't avenge Sochi, I will personally create a petition to Putin to ban hockey in the country

The person can fall however he wants. But if his stick hits someone in the face and injures them, it's a double minor.

All players were available for this one though, unlike the spring. But yes, the Russians will still need to show up, because I'm pretty certain the Finns will, because playing for nothing but honour preservation is something they're very used to doing.

Watching this game from a Team Canada perspective, I think McDavid and Scheifele could have made this team and probably would have been in the top 9.

Talking about a bad Europe PP, well if Hossa ever did play in front of the net, having him do it is a flyback because he's done nothing like that on a PP for 6 straight seasons at least. That's something that just seems a strange choice to stick with despite no results.

Babcock's a great coach but it frustrates me sooo much how his teams lack that killer instict at the end. Same **** happened yesterday, you have more talent so use it and deliver the final blow.

The players all become more concerned with not being out of position that the creativity gets deflated with his leads.

Wow...

Just wow...:amazed:

Are you sure you are watching a hockey game and commenting on character of hockey players ? Just wondering.

Hmmm...thought we were talking about a media personality, guess I read it wrong during heat of game action ...NOT a fan of MSM (mainstream media ), show me one and I'll show u a ( adjective deleted ) hypocrite

Ultimately hockey doesn't matter, media personalities' don't matter, MSM doesn't matter, hypocrites don't matter...

Why are you here ?

As for Toews he is a great hockey player with purpose.

Have purpose and your anger will diminish.

The pace of this game is frustrating I will say that. ;)
