Maybe the Swedes will rally around Markstrom and play better.

Sometimes a team will step up for their back-up.

From what i read Lundqvist will be in goal.
Is that you in the photo Hockeyfrilla ? If so i am in love..
Still rooting for Russia tough.
What will the lines be for Russia?

I actually feel a bit relieved about Markström starting. Lundqvist has let up 9 goals in the last two games after all.

söderberg moved to wing....... Thats just gonna end up with him realizing it doesn't work and than putting useless ass Berglund into the lineup again so they will go from a non working line to a non working line back to the first non working line because they will be to stupid to figure out a line combination that works.

Captain Zetterberg will be missed but Lundqvist out. Kronwall is out. Steen is out. Swedes becoming u23 team.

time for Brynäs players to shine! Backstrom, ekholm, markstrom and silfverberg

At least our main d corp is still up and running. But yea, it is a bunch of crap seeing how half of our main players gets injured in every big tourney since 2010

Who the hell cares about a couple of pre tournament exhibition games? Lundqvist is the most important part of this team. His goaltending is what will make or break this team. Relying on Markström will not win us any tournaments.

That's like our 7th (?) player out from the original roster (counting Rakell who was called in but then also had to leave).

Canada could lose 30 players and still be one of the favorites, sadly - Sweden isn't Canada, haha..

edit: No, wait. Kruger is back.

Why won´t the coaching staff just admit that Lundqvist is injured?
We all know by now that Rangers were hiding his injury during the play offs and that is probably the same injury that is continuing to hurt. I don´t believe for a second that he is "sick".
