[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

I think that part of our game has really come along in the last two weeks, we didn’t give up much, we killed some good penalties. We’ve got to score some goals, that’s where it is.
The power play has got to be better. We’ve got to draw more PPs. That’s going to break and a lot of guys are due and if we put that effort toward it, and even more effort good things will start to happen.
- Brad Richards

It was close tonight, but we were not able to finish one out and win a game. You can talk all you want about playing better and effort and things like that.
We have to win a hockey game and start putting some points up on the standings.
- Marc Staal

Talbot gave us a chance to win, he made the saves he had to make.
That’s what we want and what we need out of a goaltender’s performance and hopefully the next time we’ll be able to give him more goals.
- Alain Vigneault

Our top 6 looks like a preseason lineup.

Their top 6 looks like an all-star team from the mid-2000's.

Goals for: 12 from which atleast 4 where fluke.

It is going to be another sick in the stomach game.

But hey LGR!

Just show some heart, some real heart.

A win here, and that's 6 points on a long, long road trip.

I wanted at least 7 or 8 before the season started. Right now, I'd definitely settle for 6.

This is going to be a tough game.

Any word on Zucc? Honestly, it seems like an exercise in scape-goating. What, are we going to fill the entire team with prospects and whales hoping they'll win a game? Just because Zuccarello has been admitting and honest about his poor play, he's the one they scratch, when players who suck equally and make 4-5-6 times more than him stay quiet and breeze by. I'd like to see them scratch Brassard... like that's going to happen.... If bad play = scratch, then half the team should be scratched.

For matchups, i put Zuc back in and sit someone else. Dont know if mash has value vs Detroit.

It feels like the only way the Rangers are going to win these days is if the opposition doesn't take us seriously.

And that is the hallmark of a bad hockey team.

Oh God.

At the deli picking up breakfast this morning and guess what song came on?

Yep.

Journey - Don't Stop Believin

If that's not a sign, I don't know what is.

Agreed. Im pretty sure Mashinter sits tonight, Zucc will be a better choice against Detroit.

And put him on the first line with Brassard and Richards. Lineup in Philly created zero offense.

Myself and another HF poster flew out to Detroit for this game, had it planned for weeks, and it's sad to see this line up. Oh well, seeing a game at the Joe should be pretty cool. LGR!

I have work tonight, so I won't be able to watch, but I hope they put their best effort out there. The line up is a bit sad though.

Is this the line-up from practice, or just a copy paste of the one from the Flyers game? (Hank was practicing yesterday I think?)

There is no south Detroit...unless we're talking about Windsor, Ontario...Unfortunately I'm thinking tonight is gonna be more like Panic in Detroit. At least it's a better tune IMHO.

I don't understand the continued love for MZA. He sucks, he's not an every day NHL player. The excuses for this guy is comical, people wonder if he would clear waivers my answer is who cares?

#NYR lines:
Kreider-Stepan-Richards
Pouliot-Brassard-Miller
Pyatt-Boyle-Dorsett
Fast-D. Moore-Zuccarello.

Looks like Mashinter out.

On D, looks like
Justin Falk remains a healthy scratch.

McDonagh-Girardi
Staal-Stralman J.
Moore-Del Zotto.
