There was a made for tv old timers in the 80's I believe it was all original 6 teams.
What was it called? I remember a game where the announcers were shocked at the shape of Derek Sanderson.
I believe it was broadcast on ctv and it's affiliates.
Haha WOW, thanks for posting this. I remember it clearly. In Toronto, it used to be on (if i am remembering it correctly) at 6 pm. Then I would watch Hee Haw with my dad at 7, and then HNIC at 8.
There was even another broadcast, which I presume was a local show. It was an Italian league (based out of Toronto, but all teams named after Italian provinces) that I used to watch too. Wow, the memories that just flooded back.
As Archie Bunker would sing, "Those were the days..........."
In a good way? Or bad?
Sanderson lost millions through alcohol, bad investments and cocaine. By the end of the 70s he was out of the NHL and eventually found himself sleeping on a park bench in New York City.

Team logos were a large star, inset with the citys name. great series.I remember this program as well. It came to mind to me today and when I tried searching google for it, this thread showed up. I cant seem to find any other information about it. I am not sure what the title of the program was. Original 6 doesnt sound right to me, but hey its been a long time.
My recollection was that it was short mini games of original 6 teams. Uniforms were the same color but I dont think they had logos.
I really wish I could find some more information on this show, its stuck with me since childhood buried as a foggy memory. I recall watching it while playing rod hockey with my friend next door on saturday afternoons.
If anyone finds any archived info on this show, please share.
