You're waxing poetic about a guy scoring an OT goal against your team that an ECHL goalie should stop. If he made a great play it's one thing.

It’s Sidney Crosby. It doesn’t matter who is in net. He was licking his chops, buzzing around for that goal. It was bound to happen and you should know 87 is a gamer.

Was so hyped up about this forward lineup. Now have no idea what to expect. Panarin is literally the only guy i have confidence in creating some offense. I mean guys like PDG and Blackwell are more of a threat of creating some havoc.

No. I am not letting Quinn off the hook for blowing that lead. He didn’t have to shorten that D bench in the 3rd and that ruined the flow of the team and said structure. All season the third pair has been a train wreck. They had last change tonight. They could have protected the one bad pairing rather than blow up the entire defense. They cut off their nose to spite their face tonight.
Yeah. I can’t understand why Smith gets such a short leash. He’s one of the few guys willing to stick his nose in between opponents.

The saddest thing of all is no matter how well Shesterkin plays next game, he has no shot at starting the game after. What kind of feckin coaching is that? I mean oh my god.

Would be nice if Panarin-Strome-Kakko could be a thing. But the problem with that line is the problem with this team: just so slow, has to be one of the slowest.

Chris Kreider for six million dollars forever isn't pretty, but if this is what the forward mix is going to look like? I kind of get it, and at least tonight he was very good.
The problem with this line is that if it doesn't score 100 goals on its first shift it's done being a line for ever in Quinns eyes. Guy has ZERO clue.

Remember when AV's Rangers couldn't beat the Penguins that literally iced WSB + Crosby? No Malkin, Letang, playing all AHL defenders and the AHL goalie. Fast forward a couple years and that is literally Pitt's roster again...and you know what. Pitt played like they wanted the game in the third. We didn't. We were on our heels and no one was making plays. As much as Trouba has said the "holding a lead" isn't in their heads...it clearly is.

The thing that sucks with Mika is he’s dealing with COVID stuff and who knows when he’ll be back to 100%.

By the time he gets back to the point it may be too late
Too late for what? This team with $17M in wasted cap space is doing nothing this year. The focus has to be on next year and the year after that. Develop Laf, Kakko, Fox, Miller, Shesty and the rest of the young guys

I’m not saying Smith was good tonight. He wasn’t. But he benched him like he would have benched a freshman at BU. This is the NHL. Quinn is out of his depth.

I think there has been too much perimeter play, nobody willing to sacrifice to get to prime scoring areas, overpassing, mishandling of the puck, lack of a forecheck for long periods of time, dumping the puck in and nobody chasing, mindless turnovers, bad goaltending and questionable player usage. They have earned their record.
Exactly. They are really talented but not so much more talented that they can do a Karamazov Bros looking play every shift. Sometimes it’s down to winning puck battles. Our team is way too one-dimensional.

Shesterkin is the future. He’s the guy. Let him get a groove. Stop dicking around with Georgiev. They’ve overvalued this kid the whole time, he’s a career backup at best maybe capable of being a good tandem guy at his peak but not when you have another guy who is a stud.

They shouldn’t be looking at him and Igor as a tandem. It should be Igor is the number 1 and Georgiev is the number 2. Full stop.
Same with Kakko, I feel. He's been better and he's earned a chance. Roll with him in the top 6. We have nothing to lose.

He was good last game and he is a million times better than Georgiev. He should have started tonight. He needs to start after winning a game like he did the other night

Absolutely. There is no reason to play a different goalie every game. Shesty is the better goalie and deserved to play again especially after a win. We are 8 games in and the idiot coach is playing musical goalies. Dumb.

They got absolutely killed in the second. Changing the d bench in the third wasnt the issue.

I’m not ready to give up on Quinn. There is a lot going wrong and I’m not sure the coach is the problem. But I’m starting to have doubts. I still give him this year to see what this team does.

I just cannot wait for this team to not be depending on the likes of Tony DeAngelo, Ryan Strome, Brett Howden, Brendan Smith, Alexander Georgiev, and Jack Johnson.

Bright side: we've been playing that bad every night for the better part of 5 years and it hasn't been that way so far.
