I think the difference is we didn’t get to the second and third opportunities.
There were some rebounds at times we tried whacking in but we couldn’t get a hold of it. He saw a lot of the first shots.
- Ryan McDonagh

It’s frustrating because this loss is so painful in so many ways. We had so many open nets, so many chances to get back into this game.
It’s extremely painful and when you look at their goal, on our power play, and it’s the only goal it adds to the frustration.
- Henrik Lundqvist

Offensively, we did everything but finish. We had some Grade A looks, open nets and couldn’t pull the trigger, threw enough pucks at the net to get a bounce I thought, but we didn’t.
We played a good game, played some good hockey, put it behind us and move on to the next one. We’ve got to believe if we keep playing this way we’ll be all right.
- Alain Vigneault

It seems obvious to switch Kreider and Zucc. I want to see Kreider with MSL, plus you have his size and speed to chase down pucks for MSL. Lack of possession is really all that holds MSL back. Then Zucc gets back with Step which worked great earlier in the year and hopefully he can get Nash going.

Zucc-Stepan-Nash
Kreider-Brass-MSL

Or...get the Streiderello line back

Kreider-Step-Zucc
Nash-Brass-MSL

The current midget line just doesn't seem to work, plus that top line has been stale.

I feel like winning tonight will be bittersweet. Obviously we want to win but it would have been infinitely better to see Lundqvist break the franchise record on MSG Ice. :(

We're really starting to unclick at the exact wrong time. I hope they can figure it out but this is one of those intangibles that needs to go right for any team to be successful in the playoffs: streak heading into the playoffs.

If they get a good 10 game streak before the start of the playoffs, we can go deep. But besides Hank, no one really has looked solid.

Just the right time for us to play a team that is falling in the wrong direction. Should get two points here, and we hopefully right the ship for some big games to come.

It's still pretty high; 2nd worst in the league next to the Islanders. I don't believe many teams have averaged 100 GA/Gm.

The British Olympic hockey team gave that figure a run for its money. Probably several other nations.

My initial predictions were Hemsky hattrick and Lehner shutout, but since it's on the road, knowing this team, they'll have a 6-1 victory here.

Just waitin' for game time. It occurs to me Ive probably spent a good deal of my life like this; discounting the hours before the puck drops. Big one tonight.

Predicting MSL finds net and all is again well in RangerLand :)

Rangers will never let us off the hook ad drop a game like this. They have to keep the playoff race close because " anything could happen"!

MSL with the hatty.

Then we lose one of the next 2 on the road. Most likely the devils.

Welcome to Rangerstown!
