I mean, Blackwell, PDG, and Rooney are playing well. That's fine. However, in a rebuild where we had to reject Vitali Kravtsov because there was no spot for him on the top 6-9, in a rebuild where we had to demote Lias Andersson to the 4th line and thereafter Hartford because we had no ice time for him, in a rebuild where our best offensive prospect to date in Filip Chytil who also plays the position of our rebuild's greatest weakness cannot find ice time with our superstar forwards or on the 1st PP that eats up 1:30 per PP, in a rebuild where Kakko has been given only the stick on discipline and playing a 200ft game and no carrot to build the confidence of a 18/19 year old, and in a rebuild where guys that have tons of latent talent in Lemieux and Gauthier are getting peanut ice time and healthy scratched, having 3 4th liners eat up 30+ minutes a night and playing with Panarin is just bad coaching and bad management. I would not be surprised if we ended up being a perennial loser like Edmonton of the past.

Blackwell was the best player on that line. Honestly Strome needs to be on the 3rd line. Howden cant be any worse than Strome.

The money question is PP personnel

now there also seeming blackwell enjoying highlife popping up on 2nd line here. is blackwell not defensforward for bottomlining? i have no informations of this player. i think i look at his age sometime and i remember him 27 and playing not much at NHL beforwards.

anyhow this lafresgueism by coach needing to stop right here imo. he playing stabile at hobbylevel of class whole season and there is by nothing in these frigid coaches worlds that they should of be playing him at 1st or 2nd line at this point. only he is american/canadian giving him this special pervert treatment that will only put kakko perhaps to bad lane for future as he already before has been on not best lane and now this for more uphill at season. why must he be having nothing for free and test every uphill. why do they try giving lafresgue everything for free. oh yeah..once more. he american/canadian.

with this continuing after year or 2 kakko maybe see ed as failured talant and sent to other team or lurking around some dark backstreet with bottle in hand but oh yeah..i know that would be at very very rare of outcome but still. just want saying kakko should be this teams hockeybookcover boy at this point already imo. so in like 10th game tonight if lafresgue makin first point then coach rewarding him with 10 more games in 1st 2nd line of hockey. this is truth you know it

Strome's gonna play a lot of minutes whether he's on the 2nd or third line. Question is do you think he's gonna work better with Panarin or Kreider and Kakko.

Zibanejad is going to be used a lot against the Hall-Eichel-Reinhart line, which should in an ideal world mean better matchups for 2 and 3.

Feels like a game that just has to be a big win. One more loss and IDK what's gonna happen either to NYR or this board

This is what the lines looked like in the 3rd of last game.

Like you, Im more interested to see what the PP units look like. If Strome continues to get minutes on that top unit then he really hasn't learned a thing.

What did Gauthier do to get put in the doghouse? You're telling me he was any worse than these other bums to start the year?
