I don't think a single Ranger will get more than 55 points this season. That's why I think they will be 2nd round exits.

If you take a look at pittsburgh, that may make you feel a little better about this team. They have two players usually above 100 pts each season. They have been eliminated early more times then not.

Meanwhile a team like boston or even LA has shown that if you have multiple players in the high 40's low 50's that could be just as effective as two 100 pt players. maybe even more so

In the SC Finals home ice advantage is decided by the regular season record. For every other playoff round it's decided by the seed according to the new seeding format. Conference standings is not a factor.

The play off seeding goes like this, right:

1st vs. WC
2nd vs. 3rd (inter-division)

Any word on if Dorsett is playing? Would like to see Carcillo-Boyle-Dorsett as the 4th line today against a tough Philly squad. Although the 4th line has been very good the way it is so maybe AV doesn't mess with things.

I don't want to see Dorsett in the lineup unless someone is hurt

I really like what Moore brings to the fourth line. But the child in me wants to see Dorsett and Carcillo run around the ice together for 5-6 minutes a game.

It would be awesome to win this one in regulation. Anyone have any history on when we play afternoon games in Philly? I feel like we win a lot of them.

Remember when the CBJ fans told us Dorsett would be the piece in the Gaborik-trade we would be most happy with? Wow

Well, I appreciate his style of play and what it brings. I also hate his style of play and what it brings (stupid penalties)

Moore has been excellent this season. Surprised by this move. Chemistry has been good.

Plus, Stepan has been terrible in dzone draws.

Would highly prefer to scratch Boyle as opposed to Moore

Boyle has been playing excellent lately.

I like moore on a line with Boyle because Moore is a good skater and smart with the puck. Honestly it's between Carrillo and Dorsett for the RW spot. And as good as the 4th line has looked I think with Dorsett it can be even better. He's a muh better player than Carcillo.

Dorsett could be showcased coming off an injury. That 4th line has been a Godsend. Miller is the extra forward when MZA comes back.

I think Dorsett gets traded.

I hope so. Too much cap hit for next year. Go the Ville Niemanen route. Get a third or fourth rounder for him. They can keep it and go for a high risk/high reward pick, or trade it as a sweetener in a deal.

Not a fan of this move. Moore has been great.

With the cap going up 1.6 is too much ?

Dorsett is a much better player than Carcillo. He's faster, better shot, better hockey sense, better fighter, good PKer. As long as he doesn't take dumb penalties Dorsett > Carcillo. Carcillo has been effective, don't get me wrong, but Dorsett is the better player.

I feel bad for Dorsett because when the team was playing like **** he was bringing it every night trying to wake the boys up and getting the **** kicked out of him routinely. He's a hard worker. Then the team starts to turn it around and he gets hurt blocking a shot no less.

They aren't trading Dorsett IMO. They are giving Boyle a look at center with Dorsett/Carcillo and deciding whether to trade him or Moore IMO.
