Absolutely. No but it might fix the player development problem.

This is so f***ing brutal. We just can’t catch a break. At least Kakko looks improved for now. But neither one is even close to being a game-breaker yet.Laf going to usurp Jack Hughes for worst rookie season by #1 pick
How can anyone knock Kakko so far?
Him and Chytil were by far the best line early on, his play along the boards has drastically improved and has 2 goals?
I get the LaF concern, but can't lump Kakko into that convo this year.
There’s no way they’re both just duds. It’s got to be the coaching. Laf was supposed to a sure thing, on any other team I’m sure he’s standing outThis is so f***ing brutal. We just can’t catch a break. At least Kakko looks improved for now. But neither one is even close to being a game-breaker yet.
Do we have an actual breakout at this point or is it just curl, abandon the d, go, and dump/chip?
My point was, Kakko and Lafreniere were supposed to be strong picks. Yet somehow their play has reduced massively with the Rangers. They don't play like they did before draft.I didnt think either were referred to as weak draft years. Many people highly touted Lafreniere as a solid #1 overall pick.
Yet, he doesn't have the impact of a Matthews, McDavid [obviously], Eichel [#2], MacKinnon, etc.
Doesn't even look as impactful as Nugent Hopkins or Taylor Hall in their rookie seasons.
I was definitely hoping for more.
lets change EVERYONE but Strome.
Idk man. Top draft picks have joined way shittier situations. There’s no way they’re both just duds. It’s got to be the coaching. Laf was supposed to a sure thing, on any other team I’m sure he’s standing out
