WJC: 5th Annual WJC Pool - Final Standings in Post #270

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. ^I had him quite high. Might have picked him last time around if not for wanting to get that goalie. Not sure why him and McAvoy were on the board so long
 
Yeah should be good. My only concern is that I'm not 100% sure he'll be on one of the PPs, but I think so
 
Round 5 so the clock will be enforced now. Just a reminder you'll have 12 hours to pick, if you don't pick within this timeframe you will be skipped, and people after you will be on the clock and permitted to pick. When you do show up you can make your skipped pick(s). If you've been skipped and the draft comes around to you again before you've made up the skipped pick(or in the cases of the end of the snake it's your pick immediately again after being skipped) you will not be given another clock, that pick is also skipped and you have 2 picks to make up, and so on. Don't really feel like wasting another 12 hours for someone who hasn't been online for at least the previous 12, and likely more.

We've all been good so far and we're making great time so I don't expect it will be an issue, but just making everyone aware.

If you think you won't be online for a substantial time period and don't want to be skipped feel free to PM me a list of preference, details on exactly how I would proceed with your pick are in the OP.

Glory hogging all the good picks. I seriously considered picking him for both my last 2 picks. If he gets a top 6 role for the USA then he could rack up points like they're going out of style

Yeah that's the risk too, but with the way things have gone for the USA with Boeser out, Bellows no longer looking like a lock either I'm thinking it's going to be tough for them to not see a spot in their top 9 for him.

I was going back and forth on 5 guys for my last pick, Bracco, and Nattinen were 2 of them along with Asplund who I picked. I was hoping 1 of them would be left for my next pick but I didn't think it was likely, and it probably isn't.

Decided on Asplund over Bracco(who I think I would have picked had Asplund not been there) because nothing is certain with Bracco yet. Asplund should have a spot and probably/possibly a top 6 one thought who knows for sure. Did well last year.
 
Yeah Asplund should be a safe and good pick and rack up some points. He'll most likely have Nylander on his wing and my guess would be Eriksson Ek or Dahlen on the other. Think I had him as my last(?) forward last year which turned out to be a good pick

Sch guys, Bracco will play ;)
