Quick jump, really good effort, really good game.

First period was maybe the 20 best minutes Backes has played in a spoked-B.

The PP at the end of the 2nd period was one of the best PPs I've seen in a long time.

Happy for Cassidy. I hate the circumstances in which he's become the Bruins' head coach, but rooting like heck for him.

Move the third man up high to the front of the net, and you generate better offensive chances. Go figure. Though it appears as if they had a hard time adjusting back to the box+1 in their own zone (a lot of over-committing on the backcheck). I suspect that will work itself out with a bit of practice. Looked like they were having fun out there, and oh my lawd what a game from Bergeron.
