I expect MLSE will offer us season ticket holders either a refund on next year or money back as only half tickets can now be used .. issue gets complicated if your like me and sold your tickets ahead of season to a friend .. not good
MLSE will give you a calendar, hat and scarf. maybe a coupon for a slice. Call it square. lol!

Unfortunately vaccines do not halt the spread. If they did, this fricken pandemic might be close to over.

I don't want to get into a long drawn out convo on this... but the main problem is variants, which so far have come from unvaccinated people... the latest believed to have started in AID's positive in Southern Africa. Variants occur when the virus can stay in the body long enough to mutate, so to have that occur in a vaccinated person would be highly improbable. While vaccine numbers are high here, they aren't in third world countries. As long as that remains so, there will be new variants, that will continue to cause problems. The more people around the globe that we can get vaccinated, the better the outcome... oh, and maybe just plain stop letting people into the country who have travelled... We wouldn't be having much of a problem, if these new variants weren't imported.

I have done the same and sold upcoming tickets to friends, family, people on this board, etc.

I support the decision but what an absolute mess....

Kinda bummed about this. Would have been our first time in the arena. Great seats too. Row 14 behind the penalty box. Just going to hope we get lucky I guess.

That would be dumb and shortsighted. I’m sure there will be procedures mandated.
I'd think you would be more upset if they said 6 feet apart. Would mean that friend or family member won't be sitting in that empty seat beside you.

A vaccinated 105 years old person with 5 comorbidities who hasn’t ate in 4 days is not fighting off the virus faster than a healthy young adult. Stop with this one size fits all non-sense, it’s foolish.

Better question to ask is, if it came from an unvaccinated person in Africa, but yet arrived in Canada and all over the world, how is that possible if you can't get on a plane if you're covid positive?

Aren't unvaccinated not even allowed to travel? Or are forced to take mandatory tests before and after flights? How are they importing it when they've been restricted so much. Nearly 90% of us are vaccinated, and now they are just going to "assume" that every new case is omicron, which is unscientific as can be. At this point, how can you not start to question this.

Its a lot easier to blame unvaccinated people then it is to admit that the first round of shots they gave us aren't as effective as they claimed. And you'll see if we dont take their boosters, they will say we are considered unvaccinated.

They are extremely efficient against hospitalizations and death but they do not prevent the spread.

I realize that but the whole campaign they fed us was get vaccinated to stop the spread. I heard it every commercial break on my way to work. If you can still spread it and your an overall healthy person, whats even the point of taking it. I'm really questioning this right now, I don't know how anyone couldn't.

How about a reset. Shut league down now till the new year. Cancel olympics, reschedule postponed games during Olympic break. Start new year with stricter protocols.

Agreed, if you are young and healthy you are more than likely to get over it if you are willing to take the risk. It is the vulnerable that should be taking the vaccine.

Pretty clear they have made and will continue to make mistakes. Hopefully they will figure on soon cause I too am getting fed up.

Some terrible misinformation in this forum... some facts...
1) The vaccines do not prevent you from getting covid
2) Rather, they decrease your chances of getting it and if you get it, you are MUCH less likely to get really sick
3) The more unvaccinated people in the world, the more the virus mutates - just like the flu changes strands every year
4) As the virus mutates, the vaccines may lose some effectiveness - early studies show that a booster shot help
5) People spreading lies about vaccines are literally, the scum of the earth. People are dying. There is no conspiracy - you are an idiot.

You are talking about the blood sample study they did on 40 people? Did they ever release the methodology they used?

Regardless of opinions on mandatory vaccinations, there is absolutely no way of proving this, and in my opinion, echoing this continues down the path of alienating the vaccine-hesitant and dividing people. Which, personally, I don't think is the play right now.
