With the new announcement that large venues in Ontario will cap capacity at 50%, anybody know how this will work for Leafs games and tickets already sold? Got my little guy tickets for the Jan 3 game vs. Carolina for Christmas and now wondering if we'll be able to go.

Saw it was just announced that capacity limits are back for Leaf games starting Saturday. Man over 2 years later and this crap just isn't going away :-(

"Starting Saturday at 12:01 a.m. Ontario is bringing back capacity limits of 50 per cent at indoor entertainment venues, meeting and event spaces and sports venues with an indoor capacity of 1,000 people or more.
That includes pro sports venues like the Scotiabank arena, where the Leafs and Raptors play their home games."

Yeah that sucks alright. No idea how they will manage that with tickets already sold. First come first served maybe?

I would guess, the most expensive seats will get honoured... So the 50% most expensive, will get to go, and the higher sections will be SOL. I mean, which org wouldn't maximize their revenues?

Probably 300 series ticket holders won't be able to go.

I expect MLSE will offer us season ticket holders either a refund on next year or money back as only half tickets can now be used .. issue gets complicated if your like me and sold your tickets ahead of season to a friend .. not good

I hope not as that is not fair for all of us .. I am in 1st row upper deck behind net and I would be p*sssed

I'd guess that it's 300 Series tickets that will end up being caught out here.

Tickets will be spread out around the building. It makes no sense to pack the bottom bowl and leave the top empty.

I have 4 on the 23rd and 2 on the 29th and Jan 5

I mean... they didn't decree that there had to be distancing, just less capacity... Do what makes you the most money, until told otherwise.

I know there is a huge difference between 10K and 20K. Then again, I'm thinking, does it really matter if you are cramming 10K or 20K into a huge enclosed building? It's not like they're letting in unvaccinated people anyways, and you would hope anyone who is experiencing symptoms just doesn't go either.
