some of you have a barbaric obsession with getting Quinn fired ngl

Quinn can’t do anything about Igor being an AHL goalie and entire top 6 being useless, especially with a hurt Chytil.
You know, not for nothing, seriously? Kakko being replaced, along with Chytil, by Lemieux and Howden on the PP to start the year when both guys were going well with PDG? Johnson in every game? Lack of system and structure. Constant juggling of lines. Lafreniere is bouncing all over the place on sixty different lines. I mean, good God. It’s on the coach. Sorry. All we heard was RUFF RUFF RUFF. Now what? Martin? The front office needs to realize too that you can have all this talent but you have to be a lot more tougher to play against than this, and the coach sure has to drill it into them and assemble a structure based on what he has. Way too many excuses coming from people.

I know the stats say we've played well but let's be honest. Are the devils good? Are the Pens good without half of their defense? If we were playing the flyers or bruins or even caps like this moral victories would be a bit more palatable.

Our so-called superstars look exactly the same as they did in the bubble - slow, unprepared, lackadaisical.

I understand it's weird times right now with Covid, and we never had preseason games or anything, but every player and team is on a level playing field when it comes to this. Dallas had to delay their season due to all their Covid cases and they haven't missed a beat. The vets on this team need to wake up and adjust to the new normal.

What i noticed is that kakko and laf both need to do some leg training. They lack explosiveness which will get them open. They need to spend time with kreider for leg day. If either of them had Millers strides then they would be producing i bet.

I'm pissed by Shesterkin's performance as anyone, but Lundqvist had a preseason and a full season of play before that, in 06-07 he was worse than Shesterkin to start this season, though I will say the D was worse for Lundqvist though.

We literally have no one right now that wants to do that. I think this is a great post and yes possession is wonderful but when everything is to the outside you're not scoring.
Who is gonna go to the net and get some dirty goals? who? Kreider isn't doing it anymore. He's got his contract
Kreider has just looked slow on everything to me. Mika is still skating and flying but Kreider is not providing him any cover for him.

Opponents are also ready for that cross ice move right inside their blue line. They are not allowing that high lateral move or criss-crossing like last year.

I wonder if we could coax Mourinho to coach hockey. If you thought Torts was scary ...

More seriously, I don’t understand why hockey coaches get much longer leashes than soccer coaches, who sometimes get axed before they complete even a full season.

The last goal on Igor was just laughable. Totally inexcusable.

I don’t care if a fan came flying down and swatted the puck. To completely lose track of a puck with zero attempt standing and stopping it is inexcusable.

How many shots do we get from the middle of the ice beneath the blue line?

Their obsession with the cross crease pass isn’t doing us any favors. (Panarin and Zbad together seems counter productive)

Kreider is just genetically explosive.

Mr explosive beefed a gimmie via Laf today though.

Trouba is a complete abomination. Shin pad sniper, whiffed on 30 pucks, and just a complete bonehead with the puck. He has the hockey IQ of a used diaper. Every single thing he does on the ice negates every good thing that Fox does. He is literally the anti-Fox

I'm wondering if the list of players that had Covid is more than Zib and Trouba.

Some players are playing in cement boots

No team is gonna have a good 5 game stretch with bad goaltending and the entire top-6 being net negatives.

I said it last year, I'll say it again, it's gonna be a decision in the room if they want to be easy to play against or hard to play against. Has nothing to do with Quinn. They decided after Thanksgiving to get harder, and we all saw what happened. It's up to the room.

They haven't looked good since they played the Avalanche in March

No one wants to score. No one wants get the puck and score.

Our PP setup is embarrassingly bad with the talent we have.

It’s actually the kind of goal the CPU scores in NHL 21 when Icetilt kicks in. I mean ... exactly the goal. Mediocre shot along the ice from the slot. You can’t make it up.

Strome would fit right into Mourinho's system. He loves standing in front of his own net.
