What do you think these guys fetch at the deadline on expiring contracts?

Last year NYR got Motte for a 4th. Bjugstad has a little more offensive upside curious what that price tag is

I would say a 4th or 5th is fair if the team has cap space. Maybe a 3rd if either team is willing to take back salary.

I would do a 3rd for Bjugstad or Puljujarvi and a 3rd 2023 and a 4th 2024

I still hold out hope that we trade the Ranger's 4th we got last year for Motte to get him back.

Good chance Bjugstad returns a 3rd imo.
That's pretty gross. I'd be mightily upset with my team spending a 3rd on him.

Of course my view is quite skewed as a Pens fan. Still he's a giant, softy that isn't much to be desired to a contender.

He's put up some goals on a garbage team and helped inflate his value, like a modern day Alex Ponikarovsky.

And if you think I'm just picking on Nick. Just know that I coined his unofficial catchphrase "The mad lad, who's big and bad...Nick Bjugstad"
